The curse of popularity you b*stard! Fortunately something that won't hit me as 1) few readers, and 2) i out source all my images.
Cranked out all of Act 5 (minus 3 scenes) today. Following the very personal and emotional Act's 3 and 4 it was a very different challenge (spoiler) but this is why i love writing. Also means i am firmly back onto my original overall plot line following minor expansive detours.

Strange month of February. I have 6 (3 Solid) possible Nominations for Story of the Month and 8 solid nominations for New Story of the Month.
So, it looks like I'm going to have to flip the format and have 3 Story of the Month summaries and 5 New Story of the Month summaries.
I'll be sending those out later today so be on the lookout.
Sorry to those with New Stories that don't get a PM, some started to late and will be carried over to next month and frankly there were just so many good new stories to be introduced this month. Very stiff competition.

I wouldn't agree with swapping to 3 and 5 (from the normal 5-3) unless there were genuinely only 3 stories that deserve a full nomination. The main competition is the main competition. Stories are established with real followings and development and the quality is higher overall.
New story is a nice idea to show off the starting stories but when you look back i think only 3 (maybe 5) of the nominees from all months are still going or have been considered for the main award.
Ok so that means the same stories will come up repeatedly for the main competition but it's just how things work. If those new stories get maintain then they deserve more of a chance to win down the line.
I get there are a number of good new stories (didn't see 8 though) so perhaps increase it up to 5 and 5 (5 main and 5 new) nominees for this month (and maybe next as more 2014 DB stories commence)
EDIT Flicking through i see 5-9 established stories but only 3-5 new stories (and i'm stretching a bit to include the new 2014DB ones)

If his didn't make Feb, mine doesn't have a chance, and it won't make March, because it started early Feb.
Don't worry I have resigned myself to Hobbit Optimism (nothing I ever do will ever be successful anyway so why bother in the first place ) so I am not upset. |

I'm going to stick with 3 for Story of the Month because to me the others don't match up to those three. It's quite a drastic drop-off actually in terms of time put into the stories this month. I'm also putting The Comeback as an honorable mention instead of writing summary.

Don't forget that Marko is there from 31st January and that it was pretty active until the day i actually needed some help. It's still runing and i guess it can be one of possible nominees for new story of the month.

And thanks to the help of TMM, both Story of the Month and New Story of the Month will each have 5 story summaries (unless someone doesn't get their story summary back to me in time.)
Again sorry to those that didn't receive a nomination. This was a tough month to decide. There are still the honorable mentions and write-in options though.

Also, I'm not sure how much people plan ahead, but I have several stories lined up for when I finish Fabio that should mean I'm always in story writing until the end of 2016.

I've had to switch to God damn Photobucket after Imageshack appearantly came under controll by money-grabbing capitalists. Well, now I finally have time to make the push for 2038, and by that breaking the previous "record" in my 2011-story.

Just noticed that Karl Hammarling is up to 127 Scenes  
I might pay attention and do something a bit special for 200. Have an interesting arc i've been trying to work into the story and that would give me an excuse to do so.
And related to Karl i'm looking (with possibly some friends) to try out making a mini web series based around cycling. But that's more suited to Cafe Pedro at a later date

And that is Act 6 all written up! Nicely ahead of posting now which is a nice thing to have stacked up in case i get busy. I say this after each Act but again this ending arc is my best yet! Plus it will now allow me the freedom to pursue the special arc i mentioned above. Goddamn i am loving my writing at the moment!
