Thanks for all the comments, they're so great to read! Let's see what happened in Oman...
It's flat. We got used to it though in Qatar.
Easy... Setting up the train, letting Wesley go... Easy win, his level of sprinting is so much higher than the other's... So, the result is: 1st: Wesley Hoogenboom then came MTN's Gerald Ciolek and Jure Kocjan took the 3rd. Great way to start, am I right?
 | 1 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | 3h35'52 | | 2 | Gerald Ciolek | MTN - Qhubeka | s.t. | | 3 | Jure Kocjan | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. |
Hilly ending, but it's projected to be flat. Nah, that sounds interesting!
What a crazy stage! Sylvain Chavanel attacked we followed him to keep the red, while the peloton suddenly stopped. Chavanel took the stage, we came 2-3-4! The pack's deposit grew 1'40 large. Maybe Wesley has a chance to...? maybe?
 | 1 | Sylvain Chavanel | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | 3h27'39 | | 2 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | s.t. | | 3 | Daggen Jensen | SpiderTech - Cervélo | s.t. | | 4 | Dávid Bányai | SpiderTech - Cervélo | s.t. | | 5 | Gerald Ciolek | MTN - Qhubeka | + 1'40 |
Pan-flat stage again, well it's our time!
It's ours again! Our train is unstoppable for these guys! Hoogenboom wins his 2nd, here in Oman! This time it's Turgot taking the 2nd, while Sven Vandousseleare was able to take the 3rd after a nice sprint. We have a nice lead on the others in the GC, only Chavanel is close, really.
 | 1 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | 4h45'03 | | 2 | Sébastien Turgot | Team Europcar | s.t. | | 3 | Sven Vandousselaere | Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. |
It's the Green Mountain! Can we hold onto the red jersey?
It's a huge struggle, Hoogenboom is now holding onto the end of the peloton, it's going to be hard... Meanwhile, in the front the battle for the stage started, the pace upped aaaand it's Richie Porte! The Sky rider takes the win ahead of his teammate, Cataldo, so they make it a 1-2! What a stage for them! Tschopp comes 3rd, but where is Hoogenboom? There he comes, in the pack, struggling to keep up... He made it! The dutch sprinter survives the day and retains the leader jersey!
 | 1 | Richie Porte | Sky Procycling | 3h41'48 | | 2 | Dario Cataldo | Sky Procycling | + 24 | | 3 | Johann Tschopp | IAM Cycling | + 32 | | . | | . | | . | | 27 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | s.t. |
Another tough one. Our main aim is just hanging on...
Uggh, it's not looking good. 6-men elite group at the front, Hoogenboom isolated a minute back, trying to chase back. That's going to be rough, the frenchman is infront... Chavanel takes the stage, Weening gets 2nd, while De Clercq took the 3rd! There comes Hoogenboom too, after fighting back on the flats! He takes the 4th, that was one hell of an effort by him! Incredible will to bring the favourites back in!
 | 1 | Sylvain Chavanel | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | 3h50'00 | | 2 | Pieter Weening | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. | | 3 | Bart De Clercq | Lotto Belisol | s.t. | | 4 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | s.t. |
A flat one to end our Middle-East tour. Let's see how it all ends.
Stylish! Another stage, that we dominated with our train, stage-win #3 for Hoogenboom! No question, who is the best sprinter here! Nibali takes the 2nd (!), while Tschopp also makes an impact with another 3rd place.
 | 1 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | 3h21'24 | | 2 | Vincenzo Nibali | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | | 3 | Johann Tschopp | IAM Cycling | s.t. | | 4 | Dávid Bányai | SpiderTech - Cervélo | s.t. | | 5 | Pieter Weening | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. |
Wohhooo! 2nd GC win of the year! We're rolling!!!
| 1 | Wesley Hoogenboom | SpiderTech - Cervélo | 22h41'06 | | 2 | Sylvain Chavanel | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | + 20 | | 3 | Richie Porte | Sky Procycling | + 1'56 | | 4 | Pieter Weening | Orica - GreenEdge | + 2'40 | | 5 | Vincenzo Nibali | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | | 6 | Ion Izagirre | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 2'44 | | 7 | Bart De Clercq | Lotto Belisol | s.t. | | 8 | Sandy Casar | FDJ | + 4'04 | | 9 | Jure Kocjan | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 4'27 | | 10 | Dmitriy Gruzdev | Astana Pro Team | + 4'29 |
Spoiler | 11 | Francesco Gavazzi | Astana Pro Team | + 4'35 | | 12 | Johann Tschopp | IAM Cycling | + 5'28 | | 13 | Dávid Bányai | SpiderTech - Cervélo | + 5'58 | | 14 | Jarlinson Pantano | Colombia | + 6'29 | | 15 | Dario Cataldo | Sky Procycling | + 7'38 | | 16 | Adam Hansen | Lotto Belisol | + 7'46 | | 17 | Danny Pate | Sky Procycling | + 7'54 | | 18 | Francis Mourey | FDJ | + 7'58 | | 19 | Vasil Kiryienka | Sky Procycling | s.t. | | 20 | Gorka Izagirre | Euskaltel - 2/2 GCs won, and we're in February. 2 GCs is more than most top-sprinters won in their entire career
