As the results of numerous lab tests are processed through these weeks rumors fill the air.
A Tour that nice started purely based on racing has ended, and a completely new monster has begun. As columns such as this one try to race for details and unwrap the truth, the truth seems harder and harder to find.
Cadel Evan's results were the only ones that were a definitive positive in the A sample and B sample. And still nobody really knows why such a well respected rider with such a good reputation in terms of doping would do something like this.
Whatever his motive, it has done what analyst Bob Bobson told us in last week's column told us it would. It is so easy to dope. And with other contender's results coming suspicious as well as their blood passports, the question arises as to whether we are even out of the EPO era. Whether it be EPO or another type of doping, the issue remains.
So we here at Sporting News will keep you updated as the events ensue, penalty's are given, and the true winners arise from the muck of PEDs...

You'll have to find out.
I know this whole story has gotten very out there and strange since the actual racing of the Tour but I can't help it. With the Evan's domination i came up with the doping thing, and from there I just ran with it.

Yeah, about that. I've come to a block. I got so far into the buildup that I really don't know where I am going with it at this point.
From now on, I am pretty busy, so don't expect each update for at least a few days.

In the midst of a doping scandal, which was almost proudly worn by the sorrow fellow of a cyclist named Cadel Evans, it's hard to believe what can come of it.
In this case, Cadel, who was the one who confessed, or more like bragged, that he won the recent TDF on PEDs, has fallen into a psychotic break that we haven't seen from an athlete since OJ Simpson.
Last week, a reporter here at Sporting News, Bob Bobson got some lab information regarding the tests of Evans and several other GC contenders on the 2nd rest day. Naturally I told him to come debrief me on it. I said to meet me at 8:00. At 8:30 a body was discovered. It was my employee.
I knew the guy for 4 years. He was a young man, in his mid 20's He had just gotten engaged, was getting his masters to gain my prestige someday, and loved cycling. And he was found with 2 bullets in his stomach. The intel was gone and a syringe strangely covered in traces of EPO were found at the scene, pointing at a needle wound on Bob's neck. It had Cadel Evans fingerprints on it.
It isn't fair that somebody's life be taken away like that. Life is it. And no matter of life for someone is more precious than the life itself of someone else. So Cadel Evans is no longer a cyclist. He is a murderer. He doesn't belong banned from cycling, he belongs in prison. He took the life of an innocent bystander because he knew something that he himself started in the first place.
This is far beyond a cycling issue anymore. What was once a case of the UCI is now a case of the FBI ( Although obviously not literally the FBI but it worked).
And people called this a cleaner era in the sport.
R.I.P. Bob Bobson.
