108 men who desperately want to win 'La Doyenne', but only 1 will take it. But who?
While being between the trees, Szmyd and Devolder get away.
But they both get caught a few kilometres later.
At the first hilly part, Lampre starts to make some tempo and lots of riders can't keep up with it.
...
Than a surprise attack. Gilbert attacks 75 km from the line with two others. This break won't take long, though.
Than, again, a long period of 'peaceful' riding through Wallony.
Thanks to Lampre's work, the peleton got thinned out with just ca. 40 men left. Who is daring to go first now?
Nice to meet you. My name is Chris Horner. The RadioShack rider attacks with 30 km to go.
10 km later, Björn Leukemans joins the American. The Belgian from the Vacansoleil team was close to a win in the Flèche Wallonne yesterday, is he possible to take the victory today?
Horner and Leukemans slow down a bit, Martens and Chavanel join the two, Capecchi coming up.
Capecchi drops, Albasini, Gerrans and yesterday's winner Hesjedal join the leading group. Who wins LBL?
(Somehow, I forgot to make a screen of the finish... ) It's Ryder Hesjedal who's taking his second consecutive win! Horner is 2nd, Albasini 3rd.
RESULTS
Guys, thanks for 5 great days. Hope to participate in a competition like this again. And congratulations to Vien, really deserved it! Edited by MitchNL on 23-04-2012 22:27
Horrible race for me. Losing the podium, and had alot of trouble with the game going screwy(ex. my leader getting dropped 5 time on 90 effort and having to keep attacking to get back up). If you guys were on, you know what I'm talking about . So a hard way to take it, but I'm sure I'll be happy with 4th in the long run...
Anyway, I'll be back for more...

RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
As for the race tactics, I don't think I did anything strange, I just protected my 3 best riders (85%) and tried to go the front everytime my riders had a low heartbeat. Only thing I did was making sure that my #3 rider was protected as long as possible, in other words, I didn't care about my #1 rider too much.
I'll try to be here next time, and I guess I'll have to stop lurking on these forums without posting now Edited by Vien on 24-04-2012 12:41
