Anyone watching the commonwealth games? women´s TT was just on and Linda villumsen won this time for New Zealand even though she is danish but with a dual citizenship.
Yeah! As a dane.. this is amazing. sort of. maybe not. New Zealand, really?
Ya, its kinda strange with her, but so far its 5 medals - 1 medal in New Zealands favor, in 2012 she represented Denmark though at the ol.
But its strange she is danish and born and grew up in Herning but now she lives in New Zealand and rides mostly for New Zealand but also still for Denmark.
It is not that strange, she has raced under a New Zealand licence since 2010. She represented NZ in 2012 at the Olympics not Denmark.
Plenty of athletes has done this over the years

Also she doesn't have dual citizenship as DK doesn't allow that (legislation changes under way though). She is a New Zealand citizen, who used to be a Danish citizen and gave now ridden and won things for both countries.
Good job by her though!

In the portuguese tour Phil Bauhaus wins with ease on the sprint. Nice to see him get a stage win, after being 3rd in the german champs behind Greipel and Degenkolb. I've just noticed the guy has 20years old, impressive.
Luis Leon Sanchez tried to surprise the peloton but was caught in the last km |

Exciting finish. With the sprints being less controlled like in the Grand Tours you thought for a second Sanchez could stay away. Nevertheless exciting finale!

I thought the weather in Glasgow for the Men's Road Race was horrible, once again Poland comes up trumps to prove it is the Champion's League of Cycling.

No neutralisation yet, with the weather improving for the moment, so they continue riding.
Meanwhile:
