That just seems plain stupid. If he did that, he lost those 2'42 and shouldnt be getting them back.

Whats stupid about looking after the riders safety? and its not a new rule that a crash 3km before finish gets those in or behind the crash the same time as the front.

But it is noteworthy that after the rule came there have been a lot more crashes in the last 3km .

Kwiatek and Talansky's times has been updated. They get the same time as the peloton.

Well the jury voided all the gaps for riders involved/stopped which is great to see.

I say that quite enough room for him to get through.

Okay, I should go to bed now and stop talking.

Dont be a dumbo

There was a crash and of course thats going to mess up the peleton a bit, so dont put to much jizz into Froome being on 6th he was just at the right place.

Well if he comes ahead of Kittel, Sagan, Navardakus, Coquard and Rogers he's in Yellow. So Fuck off.

Right and again did you miss that there was a crash? and that he still was 4 seconds behind the leading sprinters.

So its pretty obvious that he wasn't sprinting and he was just exactly where a GC rider should be close to the front and was lucky to avoid the crash.

Yep, im glad that they did it.

A lot of the key riders was left behind the crash.

It sure would have made for a whole other race if they hadnĀ“t.

I know he didn't mean to get 6th. All im saying is that he could yellow sooner than he would wish for.

Yeah dude its plain stupid to check if your friend is okay. So stupid of him. So next time if you see a team mate in a puddle of blood just ride past and not give a fuck coz GC is more important.

Of course it's stupid. he wasn't going to help Cavendish one bit. Also Cavendish wasn't in a puddle of blood, he was holding his shoulder, so Kwiatkowski lost almost 3 minutes for basically nothing.

I lol'ed, calm down Kirchen, You explain how i feel about it tho.

That picture is just when the crash happened.

But seeing the pictures again its more clear now and Cavendish gets caught behind Sagan and with Gerrans not moving a inch, well Cavendish is Cavendish.

So ok i will give that he is a big part of the crash. But Cavendish was also extra fired up today, homefield and a city his mom lives/lived in.

If Talansky is injured I will kill myself. After Giro, not again. Just not again.

I really hope he isn't, he is part of my second favourite team and he is probably one of my favourite riders too, I also hope nothing happens to Kwiatkowski via time gaps since he was looking after Cav

I'm not sure what happened dude but he got the time of the bunch so no time losses. Hopefully he had a mechanical and just walked across the line or smth.

You're the most biased person I've ever seen on this forum. Like, really. Do you really even believe yourself when you say things like that?

Gerrans had his path and Cavendish had his path. They were riding next to each other. Cavendish train/leadout wasn't fast enough to make him go in front of Gerrans, so Cavendish was boxed from that side (his left) and thought he can maybe get a space by headbutting Gerrans. It's absolutely his mistake and it's like 3rd or 4th time that he does the same damn thing.

Cavendish clearly pushed Gerrans by his head, Gerrans had to push Coquard and Coquard just managed to escape fall by going to side. That "escape" made some space between Gerrans' & Coquard's bike, which was enough for Gerrans to fall. As Cavendish was constantly pushing Gerrans + he basically had his bike bent on that side, he fell with him, making few guys from behind crash with them, too.

So, it's absolutely Mark's mistake, no matter how biased you are (your nationality clearly says so) and how unlucky he was. It probably wasn't intentional and it probably was because of his too big desire to win this stage in his country. Shame for all of these riders.

---

Great sprint by Navardauskas. The guy is just a beast. I started liking him from start of last season and it's absolutely great to see him constantly doing good.

Cancellara's attack was another great thing of todays stage. You just gotta love Trek's riders fighting spirit (Voigt, Hondo, Cancellara, Devolder, Rast...)

Amen! Totally agree, this is exactly what happened. I'm no fan for Cav, nor against him. Actually hoped he would have won, considering what it meant for him. But it was his mistake. Not Gerrans (hey, he can't disappear in nothing, as won similar sprints before so why not give it a try this time??), not Coquard (passing by in a straight line at higher speed).
Only Cav is to blame, including the pressure at him. Hope he is okay, and can get some revenge, this Tour or the next.

If you are aiming fot the white jersey and possible a top-10, you dont wait 300 metres from the line like that unless its more serious than that. And please, will you stop attacking ppl like that just because they share another opinion like you.

Kwiatkowski didn't lose any time.

Ya it looks like Talansky forgot to take something

TALANSKY Andrew 91 GARMIN - SHARP 04h 48' 22'' + 04' 15''

He must have been dropped way before the 3km.

Also what happened here

198. ITA PETACCHI Alessandro 76 OMEGA PHARMA-QUICK STEP 04h 58' 16'' + 14' 09''

14min? Petacchi used to be a lot better if my memory doesnt fail.
