A quick question for you guys that know more of this game:
Why is it that sometimes the receiver has to get both feet on the ground once to make it a TD, and sometimes it is sufficient to 'fly' through the end zone?
Is it that the rule for possessing the ball (which is obviously essential to score a TD) is to have both feet on the ground, and having that fulfilled before being in the end zone lowers the 'requirements'?
Hmm. I wonder where you saw an example of where you can "fly" through the end zone. In all cases, two feet must touch the ground, unless a knee, elbow, or butt is down.

If the receiver is running the ball into the endzone then just the ball has to cross the goal line (nothing else matter), if it's a catch then what 547984 said.
FSU just scored a TD that way, where the receiver did not make contact with the ground before being out of bounds. At least as far as I saw it.
And I recall a TD where no part of the receiver ever was inside 'end zone territory', but he streched his arms far enough that the football went inside the pylone for a distance of 5 inches.
Or is touching the pylone like touching the ground?

If the catch was already made, it doesn't matter if the player gets into the endzone only thing that matters the ball crosses the line. If the catch wasn't made (completed) prior to the receiver getting into the endzone then he has to touch the ground as 547984 said (the ball doesn't necessarily need to be in the endzone in this case).
EDIT: I believe you are talking about the first TD in the FSU game. In the NCAA you only have to get one foot down in order to make a catch. In that case the receiver caught the ball with one foot down, the ball brakes the plane of the endzone and he didn't lose possession going to the ground.

One hell of a game between Texans and Chiefs today. Keenum really looked better than I thought, would rather watch him than Schaub. Alas, it wasn't the magical ending I hoped for. I blame it on them not being able to convert in the 3rd quarter, 1st & Goal on the 1 Yd Line.

Indianapolis is looking like they are gonna pull an upset on Denver, just need those damn Chiefs to lose and the 1972 Dolphins will raise the shot glasses again

I switched off with 1:something to go when it was Dallas ball and the game looked sealed, just to tune back in like 20 minutes later, but somehow just seconds before a Stafford TD with 0:12 to go

Detroit's offense at this finest. I want to kill those announcers for saying it was over with 1:30 left. "Can't you do clock management!!!" Go Lions!
I can't wait to see the Chiefs actually take on a formidable team. All they've been doing is just grinding their way to close victories.
Oh, lord: Megatron's stat line...

Pretty awesome last drive by Stafford - and gutsy to go for the QB dive in the end.
Danish TV has chosen to show Cardinals-Falcons as the late game... pretty horrible when you could be watching Manning vs. RG3. Luckily, I just found a proper stream of the latter.
That being said, Matt Ryan is so horrible that it's fun. 3 interceptions so far.

Danish televisions games this night:
Dolphins - Patriots
Cardinals - Falcons
Of course it's always easy to sat its shit afterwards, but why didn't they show:
Cowboys - Lions (both teams have scored a lot of points lately)
Broncos - RGIII (Broncos are always good for lots of point and RGIII you never know what's gonna happen with him behind center).
Totally agree with you here Mike
Awesome TD by Stafford and incredibly game by Megatron!!!!!
All this spotlight on Megatron, but Dez Bryant had a big game aswell. Really a fantastic player, I love the playmaking skills he got.
