Now that was a far better finale than I thought it would be, it does make a difference when you feel anyone can win.
Despite Garmin having two numbers, you felt Purito or Valverde were favourites, but Martin showed great power to reel in Purito, who went too early. Tremendous stuff from the Garmin team again who seem to pull some really great results out of the bag. It is easy to be thrilled for a guy like Martin who has been getting closer and closer to big results - took Catalunya in a clever way and again here, brilliant.
Wouldn't surprise me if he also wins the Tour of California if he goes there instead of the Giro.
I t to TOC. They usually want to bring their American leaders like Tommy D and VDV there.

Bardet 13th, btw. That's quite impressive.
And Kreuziger 10 minutes back. Wasn't he supposed to be one of the main favourites for this race, Avin?

This man has really came back
I wonder what caused his bad 2011/2012 seasons...
I must say, i kinda like such second tier riders, getting constantly good results. Today Vaugrenard, Sörensen, Bardet, Geschke, Denifl. |

Kreuziger payed for the price of the attack on Amstel. |

100% sure he was the Blanco rider that I saw when the crash happened. |

Huh, my fault. When I have Kwiatek in my fantasy team, he fails to deliver. |

Heh heh not bad for Lagutin
44 LAGUTIN Sergey Vacansoleil - DCM 5 ,,
These two were disappointing though
50 QUINTANA ROJAS Nairo Alexander Movistar Team 5 ,,
61 ROCHE Nicolas Team Saxo-Tinkoff 5 4:40
And last Place
125 KREUZIGER Roman Team Saxo-Tinkoff 5 9:54
From first on Amstel to Last in L-B-L. Very few people can claim that

Shit. That's not a good performance by Bauke...
Well, I can't say that he really disappointed if he crashed...
Spoiler Blanco crashes a lot anyway

Roche was working for Contador, or whoever they intended as team leader. When you're working at the front of the peloton with 70 km to go, it's hard to stay fresh for the finale.
Quintana simply seems to lack the experience.

shame for Mollema. If he had top 10ed today, which was not unthinkable given the previous week, that would be 2 years in a row making top 10 in the 3 Ardènnes races. It's not winning, but it's still impressive regularity.
Oh, I was wondering about Kwiatkowski too, but it has simply been too long. We were seeing him surprising everyone hanging with the best in T-A, mid March, excellent on the cobbles. He had to pay for that.

I also wonder that who was the Saxo-Tinkoff leader. Because I saw Contador on the attack yet Niki Sorensen was the best placed rider for the team. |
