Silvio Herklotz? He's a good German rider, who does a lot of cyclocross. |

He did a lot of cyclocross but focuses on road races now, You're right, though.

Sweet! I used to follow a lot of cyclocross when it was just starting to take off where I am, but got over it pretty quickly. I loved the smaller races, always thought they had more character...
Anyway, I'd say this is an easy. I'll be off soon-ish, but will try to check throughout the day and before I leave.
Easy.

Hint: He rode for some of the largest teams ever to compete in races like the Tour de France, including ONCE. He also retired before the introduction of the World Tour. |

Nope. He did have a similar style of mullet though. Mind you, half the peloton had a mullet like this at one point... |

Exactly... Time for another clue? Alright...
He his heavily supportive of cancer research, especially the local charities (local being both local and national charities) that specialize in this. He also manages a team, although it is tiny compared to the ones that he used to race for. Not as fit as he used to be (surprise surprise) he prefers his scooter to whiz around on with the people he coaches and his team.
And finally, the biggest one of all, his best place at the TDF was 12th. |

No. It goes in and out sometimes. For days it can be really popular, others people forget about it. GTC 2 & 3 were like that too, and they got plenty of action. GTC 2 had 120 pages.
