Would be interesting to see Boonen launch the sprint for Cav in this year's real Tour. He doesn't have that many option left after his bad luck classics season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ollfardh: Well if this is anything to go by it would be a killer leadout. Then add Tony Martin in front to keep up the speed the last 10 km. That is the recipe for boring sprints...

Stage 27: Rouen – St. Quentin
Real life: Greipel won for the second day in a row ahead. This time with Goss and Haedo on the following places.
Once again the break (today 11 riders) has 7’30’’ to the peloton with 100 km to go.
The sprinters teams time it well and with 10 km to go the break is pretty much caught.
But that doesn’t suit Gilbert and with 5 km to go he still has about 40 seconds to the sprinters!
Some well structured trains in the peloton, but will they be able to catch the World Champion?
When Gilbert goes under the flame rouge Boonen is putting in another very strong leadout for Cavendish hoping to bridge the gap.
They really do some damage and gets a small gap to the other sprinters, but with 500 m to go they still haven’t caught Gilbert.
The Belgian is too tired to do anything and the Cannonball makes it two in a row!

Yay, more points
Nibbles looks steady, but didn't expect anything else on this kind of stages
Spoiler Kelderman, wtf are you doing? How can you lose 3 minutes on a flat stage? Anyway, he's not going for the GC anymore I guess
Feyenoord(football) and Kelderman fanboy

Sorry about the delay. The story is not dead end will continue all the way to Madrid.
Stage 28: Épernay - Metz
Real life: Sagan took the stage ahead of Greipel and Goss.
You know how it goes. 100 km to go and the break has 7’30’’. Three days in a row after exact same recipe now! Gilbert picks up the intermediate without contention which brings him to 3rd place in the points competition.
50 km and four minutes. Everything going as scheduled.
Entering the final 10 km and the breakaway does its final struggle.
The sprinter teams are working nicely together but with 5 km left Gilbert, Ignatiev, Kern and Moser still have a small gap.

Final 3 km. Gilbert opens the sprint, but the peloton is only 20 seconds behind.
The break is passed by Davis leading out Goss right under la flame rouge.
500 m – looks like it could be close!
Degenkolb just manage to hold the others at bay and takes the stage.

I think Gruzdev will win this in the end, with an amazing solo he'll win more than 7 hours and beat Nibali in Madrid

Haven't commented yet but I have been following this story since the start. Great, really intresting initiative. Nibali is really surprising me so far. Hadn't expect him to hold of Froome and Contador in Italy but he did and even took some extra seconds in France. I have a feeling that everything between the top 4 will be really close after the Tour and it's timetrials.

Ian: No, he seems to fail every time the finish gets unorganized...
Marcovdw:
Spilak: Thanks. It certainly makes the fight more open considering the Tour-route that each rider in the top-4 is expected to lose time to the riders below him in the ranking and gain time on the ones better placed. I imagine Nibalis succes could be partly connected to a bonus for riding in his home country (?)

Week 5: Tomblaine – Le Cap d’Agde
Stage 29
Stage 30
Stage 31
Stage 32
Stage 33
Stage 34
Stage 35
Competition Time
Last weeks questions turned out to be quite easy as everyone answered the same thing – and were completely correct. Damn you predictable first week of the Tour
Questions:
1. Who will lead the GC after stage 35? (3 pts)
2. Which team will have fewest riders left in the race after stage 35?
3. Which nationality will get the most wins (1 pt per win)?
I will be gone over the weekend so you will have plenty of time to PM me your bets before the next stage is posted.
