That power outage was crazy and a big momentum shift. Does anyone else think that there was a hold on that 4th and goal play?

A defensive hold can't be called if the offensive player is also holding.

Hardly NFL, but just wanted to share the block of the day from my game yesterday. Luckily, it's not me who's taking the hit - unfortunately, though, it's a team mate who didn't come back into the game after that Pfft

Aaron Hernandez of the New England Patriots arrested today on Murder Charges. They released him shortly after

Interesting fact, 72.3% of Tom Brady's passes last year were to receivers no longer with the team (Wes Welker, Hernandez...).

So, with that in mind, do you think Hernandez did it? Do you think the Patriots are still a valuable contender for the playoffs? Even the division with the Dolphins Wink packing heat this year?

With Belli and Brady, the Patriots will still be a team that you can´t underestimate, and i think they will get to the PO, but don´t think they can go the entire way... Is The "Gronk" back? or is he also out?

The Patriots may not be, but Brady always is a play-off contender...
And with the reinforced D, Brady should be able to get the chemistries rolling with his offense. Also, Vollme was brought back, and if Healthy, that is a huge plus for Brady!

If I had My way I say Miami is #5, with Tannehill improved, Wake improved, Mike Wallace added Defense added.

That maybe true, but wallace may be the a big mistake signing (well price wise) if he doesnt perform right away!

The Pats will always be playoff contenders as long as Brady is playing. However, this season the backfield (Ridley, Vereen) must step up, since with the considerably weaker WRs, it's very likely that they will call a bit more run plays, which will be key on the offensive side of the ball. I still think they are very capable of reaching at least the Conference Championships, but it's probably not this year that Brady gets another ring...

@jseadog1: I would rate the Ravens lower, but the Seahawks way higher. They are definitely capable of a big playoff run. (Even if the defenses learn to successfully counter the spread option, read option, etc... plays, Wilson has proven to be a consistent pocket passer as well)
For Miami: Tannehill needs to have a big season and prove that he is indeed a franchise QB. He has good running game (Lamar Miller!) and good receivers supporting him, so this could be a decisive season for him. I would not rate them that high, but we shall see. Wink

That mybe true, but are the Dolphins a Post-season contender? I very much doubt it! And as you say, the division got easier this year, so anything else than a second place in the AFC East may leave cracks in the Dolphins rebuilding efforts...
Though I agree with Juszta, that this year is very much depending on Tannehill not falling into the infamous Sophomore Slump...

Well its not like he had a Cam Newton rookie year or anything. He was only decent last year, and hopefully he can improve this year.
