I may overestimate a win, but podium nonetheless was possible. He was sitting on Gasparatto's wheel when he crashed out... Gutted for Oscar as well, epic ride.

Very glad I didn't bet on this race. Where was Valverde, the one at the highest odds?

Have you seen Evans today?
I came home from holiday half way through the race, so I missed it. But yeah fair enough. I still wouldn't be surprised if he conserves himself for L-B-L.

Big disappointments for me where Rodriguez & Gerrans. I knew Valverde was sick at Pais Vasco so I didn't think he could win anyway today. And Cunego for smashing Nordhaug ; /

Love how Cunego blamed Nordhaug for the crash, stupid Italian not bothering to look to his right!
I don't think he blamed Nordhaug, but was none the less irritated and said some bad words to Nordhaug. Typical British to think they know everything! |

Not that it matters, but where did the SchleckAnd also, was Velits anywhere near the front? Without Chavanel, he could have taken the role as leader?

And how is that not blaming Nordhaug?

But it was Cunego's fault. If he said "bad words" to Nordhaug then that is bascially blaming him right? Not Nordhaug's fault. He's allowed to be wherever he wants to be on the race course.

Still though, I don't think the fact that he's Italian makes any difference.

I hope Nordhaug wasn't injured in the crash, but from what I saw it doesn't look good... Life can not be so unfair that a stupid crash 200 meters before the finish ruins what could be the best Norwegian performance in the Ardennes ever! |

Well it doesn't. But neither does the British thing.

4. Freire
5. Voeckler
6. Gilbert
7. Sánchez
8. Wegmann
Surprised to see Wegmann up there. Didn't notice him.

And Nordhaug's hip took quite a blow. He's on his way for x-ray in a hospital now. I'm just sad. I've thought he would be great from the very beginning at Sky, developing nicely from year to year. Didn't expect him to be this good today, just a shame we weren't allowed to see how well he actually could have done. |

I watched the replay of the crash from a bike behind and Cunego marched straight over to Nordhaug and was making angry-looking hand gestures and having words to Nordhaug. That seems to me to be blaming someone to me and as with other replies to a few others aswell. It's not knowing everything, its just using common sense. |

I know, I felt that was the reasoning behind the British comment.

I don't know Cunego, but if those gestures weren't angry ones, then I don't wanna see him when he's upset. |

After Sanchez's troubles earlier I think this is a really solid result. And a great ride from Wegmann.
All in all a strange top 10.

I'm somewhat impressed by Sanchez seeing as how he was falling behind for a while. |
