Pichon, Roy and Chavanel have 15" here, with less than 25 km to go.
Roy not really participating, as he's protecting his leaders/sprinters.
Chavanel is really strong but I can't see them resisting to a chasing peloton led by a 20 men team. |

Oh, Pichon and Roy fell. Chavanel was 5 m behind and passed on the sidewalk. He leads the race on his own now.
And less than 2 km farther, Roy falls again in the back of the peloton.
Fedrigo pulling the pack now, 13" behind Chavanel. 19 km to go. Still raining.

2 riders team attack by Roubaix, with 8 km to go. Schmidt and Desriac.
Bunch sprint very likely, as expected. |

Benetseder is elite champion though, as Pöstlberger is U-23.

Quite a small upset in Italy, but considering what team Cataldo rides for this season, it's not as big
ITT Italy:
1 Dario Cataldo 45:49
2 Adriano Malori 0:02
3 Marco Pinotti 0:35
4 Tiziano Dall'Antonia 0:45
5 Moreno Moser 1:09
Yes!

Have never seen two teammates sprint like that against each other. Bouhanni waiting with going on and Demare trying to surprise him from further out. I prefer Demare but it was nice to see Bouhanni winning

Both. In that order. Démare started from a bit far (300 m), but Bouhanni was really impressive.
Petit, Flahaut, Turgot, Feillu. Bacquet, Simon, Casper, Le Montagner next.

Also, how's Spain going? Bouhanni is scheduled to race the Vuelta, but that might change, FDJ selection will only be announced tonight, so that may still change. |
