Yeah lot of trades, I'm just so mad at Joe Dumars, our GM, to even enjoy it. Attendance just dropped significantly at "The Palace" for next season if that was even possible. Unbelievable...

I haven't seen so many foreign people drafted before. This is an American league and over half the players drafted so far are un-american

One thing is for sure, nobody is going to be able to score inside with
Smith, Monroe, and Drummond on the floor at the same time.
Hopefully that is good enough for the playoffs.

Not sure what to think about that Dallas roster...
PG Calderon/Bekel
SG Ellis/Carter/Harris
SF Marion/Carter/Crowder
PF Dirk/Wright/Marion
C Wright/Dalembert
It`s yet another try to reach the playoffs where round 1 will most likely be the end then.
It`s definitely time to start the rebuild. But then they would have to trade Dirk for picks/talents instead. Would most likely be the best for the team and himself but I don`t see this happening...
This way it will need 2-3 seasons until Dirk retires before the rebuild starts.
I have bought the summer league pass recently for 5$ only. It`s quite interesting to see those young prospects to be honest. Have mainly followed the Mavs, where Bekel, Akognon and Carmichael really impressed me.
And obviously I also followed the Hawks, where Dennis Schröder is having good chances to grow into the starter position in 1-2 seasons. Even though he had some up and downs he was mainly doing pretty well and had a good pace in his game. |

Thanks man, I knew it'd come back to haunt me down later. At least I was right about Jennings.
Spacing issues still occur though, especially if Smoove will really play SF.
Anyways I'm happy, we had a huge splash in FA, but still wouldn't predict more than a top 4 maybe for my Rockets.
For the Pistons, PO seems reachable, easily if the obvious looking issues sort out themselves. Oh, and they didn't pick Burke, even though he was available.

@roturn...you mean Mekel Yes, he's a good young PG. Dallas won't make the playoffs. calderon, dirk and ellis aren't great defenders. i'm not a big fan of Monta. He has a bad shot selection and needs to pass more because he has the abbility to do it.
since I'm german I do follow the Hawks aswell. Schruuder (Schröder) is doing great so far in the summer league. he runs the offense very well. but his shooting touch from the distance is missing so far.
Detroit has a good foundation for the future. they will fight for the 8th seed in the east. |

Not so sure. 5-8th would be possible I think.
Dirk defends far better than many say. When he is on the court the team has far less points against as without him. He just isn`t spectacular.
And Ellis never played next to someone like Dirk or even Calderon, who proved to be an excellent passer. So I have some hopes that Ellis can take profit out of this new situation, where Dirk takes care for more room for him and Calderon having the good view to make something out of this room.
Not 100% convinced by Ellis as well but this situation can definitely improve him.
Defensively I definitely agree on Ellis and Calderon though. So this could indeed become a problem as better defenders like Marion/Crowder won`t be able to compensate this.
