IMHO the major misunderstanding so far about PCM 2011 is that biggest improvements have been made on the graphics part of the game...
Don't get me wrong, the riders do look ten times better than they did in 2010 and the size differences between the riders are really awesome, but the major difference in playing the game is the AI.
Races are now no longer the predictable ceremony that they were so often in PCM 2010. Played some hilly races in a newly started career, level extreme, only youngsters...
Yes, that's a challenge...
Still in PCM 2010 I used to ride the first 90% of the stage on x4 and x8, waiting for the finale.
Now, I've already been caught out several times. Didn't even manage to win an intermediate mountain sprint from a ten men group, which in 2010 would always be a certainty.
Breakaways tends to get joined by riders coming from the back. AI attacks are no longer restricted to either the first ten kilometers or halfway through the stage. They seem a lot more adapted to the stage profile.
In short, there's hardly time to sit back and wait. Much more need to anticipate and ride the race, rather than watch it unfold... |

Why is everyone being so positive here? This is a cyanide game, it's not in people's nature to be positive about it!
Quick, someone start a topic complaining that Luxembourg riders should be divided into regions

Thank god you came here to tell us about the horrible music. It's one of the main features of this game, after all. |
