The kicker is that the rider has "CAJA RURAL" written 4 times on him, and he looks NOTHING like Schumacher
Here's a picture of Schumacher for comparison

The picture is removed now. I guess even they realized what a fail it was.

Yorkshire submits formal bid to host Tour de France in 2012
Leaving it a bit late there methinks. ASO should stick with Liège - it's grim up north |

Hoping for a last minute switch apparently. Well, it's a rare thing, but could happen.

Cyclingnews piece about the 10 things of the cobble season as once again brilliant
Especially the part about the new generation. Naming almost everyone possible, with ofcourse phinney. But also ladagnous etc. But omitting Boom (who only rode his 3rd ever Paris Roubaix / classcis season and is younger than ladagnous or turgot), who was possibly the 2nd strongest rider in roubaix.
Daniel benson admitted on twitter that I had a point. But didn't edit the article :L |

Tell him he forgot to write a piece about Armstrong in his article. I'm sure he's already fixed it. |

In an article about Hesjedal riding the Giro
Hesjedal has never been given the opportunity to lead a GC challenge in a grand tour. Despite his top ten in 2010 he shared leadership with Vande Velde and Danielson, although crashes in the race and Danielson's form quickly saw Hesjedal and Vande Velde become key domestiques. The role as team leader isn’t one that Hesjedal fears and he publicly wont be drawn on his aims, whether they be top ten, top five or even the podium.
So what I get outta this is that, although he finished top ten in 2010, he was a domestique, for Christian Vande Velde and Tom Danielson, who wasn't in the 2010 Tour. They must be talking about 2011, but they never say it the whole artcvle.

I think they mean they were all co=leaders in 2011, despite Hesjedal getting a top ten in 2010.

the British champion won the bunch sprint by putting in such a turn of speed that no sprinter could come around.
He was trailed across the line by Lieuwe Westra (Vacansoleil-DCM) and Paolo Tiralongo
Yes....sprinters.....

In 2010 he was given a free role after Vande Velde crashed out.
2011 he rode for Danielson and dropped Danielson in the 2nd week and 3rd after he had healed from his first week crashes. But by then he was too far down, so he usually dropped back and paced Danielson up the climbs.
And then in all the domestic races he is used as a late stage attacker, whenever an american is team leader over him. Its so predictable, its sad.
The two PT classics in Quebec are really his only chances to lead all year.
I dont think he'd get more than a Top 10 ever again, but he should get more chances, imo, although he could be happy at Garmin, even with all the indecisiveness. I just think he's wasting a bit of his potential, working for Vandevelde especially.
