I must say I'm very satisfied with this stage. Firstly of course because I won it, but mainly because I seem to be in the best position for the overall win. Ginanni isnt a good TT'er, and the best time trialists, Karpets and Nibali, are 30 seconds back on di Luca. In under 30km TT with a hill, that should be doable, since he rides in his own country.
Either way, my sponsor goal (top5) should be save.
Then hopefully Bennati can take another stage or two since the final three are rated flat. |

Sammy didn't manage to keep up today, that was a bit of a bummer, but still 4th is decent eventhough he can hardly catch the riders infront while atleast Nibali will catch him... Looks like 5th is the best I can get here... |

I noticed on the last screenshot in the stage 3 results that Rabobank is listed as a French team, when clearly we are dutch. And it looked liked Vespa was down as a dutch team, when i am guessing they are italian.

yeah, I noticed it too on this screen, and it turns out to be an error in the db. |

Niemiec is not that far and should do well in the TT, so i can expect a top10 after the TT and then God knows...

Nice job by Hagen, but why isn't anyone counting that mountain stage for anything? I don't see how Hagen should be able to keep up there.

I don't see any mountainstage... 3 flats and a TT is all I see... They aren't completely flat though. |

Yeah so Boasson actually has a good shot at winning the race unless Nibali rides a power TT... |

Nah, he's not even going to beat Di Luca in the TT with the national bonus the way I see it. How is Ginanni's TT?

Count Ginanni out, his TT is around 64

after stage 4: Bellis still doing good in the KOM jersey for Waghlon
Bennati with an impossible win make my race great after a sucky MSR. Rogers should easily take the TT and di Luca seems to be the favourite for the overall now. I'm all happy
Oh an yea, Bennati's got the points jersey pretty sure now as well with still 2 flat stage to come. |

Way to go in T-A for Vespa.
They are my 8 strongest guys though, and the team is built for the hills.
Ginanni will also get a bonus being race leader for the TT - but I can't see him holding on to the jersey thru' the TT.

I'm quite dissapointed by di Luca, but on the other hand I shouldnt be complaining. He's still second, with a stagewin already. Rogers now took a stage and is up to 11th in GC, not to mention Bennati who's got 2 stage already, with an option for two more plus the points jersey.
I reckon I'll be in the lead in the PT by a solid margin after this race. di luca should score 180 (2nd GC) +40 (stage) = 220.
Rogers 40 (stage) +55 (11th GC) = 95
Bennati: 2*40=80 already from two stage, with another 80 in stage waiting and 40 for the points = 200 pts.
Total of around 500 points, not bad at all
Also, that should be enough for Bennati to easily take the lead in the individual standings, with Zabriskie not scoring |

I'm really quite happy with how well Boom has been performing for me so far this season. I think the pro tour is all about consistancy this season, and whilst Boom is one of my best riders, theoretically I should do better in the mountainous tours rather than these early season ones. So scoring points for time trial results and top 15 GC placings is fine by me. Plus, as I expect nothing, to get a few top 10 stage results is nice
