Happy with Belevics 5th. Maybe he even can get a podium on the longer TT-stage later on?
Congrats Dippofix, nice victory! Enjoy the yellow jersey
Thanks Heine for the amazing preview and likewise redordead for a thrilling TT-report |

A big one for us always and more so since we are out of both the other big US stage races.
The last two years we had real aspirations of a win and missed out pretty painfully both times. This year I knew Yates was unlikely to win, especially after MRE said Jorgenson was going, but was hoping to have a good shot at a podium. Startlist makes that tougher although I think Yates is in a big group that will fight for 3rd to 7th. Hope his finishing ability will come in handy and also a solid team behind including my 3 TOA stalwarts in Hoehn, Revard and Kuss.
Zhao further down the sprint list than I had hoped looking at just SP, although with AC he is pretty competitive, nice stage 1 from him so hope he actually contests the sprints, if can get some bonus seconds the leader's jersey is possible.
C1 been a total disaster for us so far, can't really afford to throw away 14 days here.
Jorgenson has to be the favorite. I like Meintjes and Misbah for the podium although if the long hilly stages - 6 and 7 - get messy we could see some surprises.

Glad to be involved in the stage discussion. Giggled at that 3km Sunderland attack. Annoyed at the final result after a promising sprint preparation from Kuroeda.
Carsi on fire though. intermediate and then final sprint. Congrats to Euskadi!

Jingbiao needs to understand that flopping in Gabon will be forgotten, flopping here will not.
Congrats to Euskadi, some wide-open sprints to come.

Hamza on the wheel of Carsi with 3 k to go was promising. Unfortunately he loses the wheel, but 9th is as good as can be expected.

Pretty decent start from Gibbons in 4th no idea how he's managed it with a leadout of climbers but we will take it |

Excited for this one, always my favourite race of the year! Thanks for the reports so far and congrats to Ethiopian Airlines and Euskadi-Murias. A bit disappointing to see Abdul Hilal and Adomaitis unable to make the most of their leadouts' work, although I haven't investigated the exact makeup of their trains. Much better work by Gibbons in that respect.
Not a clue who is going to get what in the GC, this is a scarily open one where daily form may well be the decider. Too early to call the KOM, but I don't think any of our current participants have the skillset to take it all the way.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Nice work from Rogora here to secure the polka dot jersey - we haven't really been getting into breakaways all season so I'm delighted we go for it on the biggest stage. Good job keeping Chavanne safe too and picking up some minor stage placing points.

6th place is a good start. Points and thats what is important! No further time lost after the first ITT. Good start!

Congratulations to our first couple stage winners in Euskadi and Ethiopian. Always fun to get a tour started off well, so I'm sure the morale is good in those squads.
Hoping for a bit more from Tivani on stage 3 although the more versatile sprints probably will be more likely to go his way. Not sure if I expect Tivani to get the highlighted bib for the team and what that means for Rachid and Merchan, but we'll soon find out.

A shame to be surrendering the yellow jersey, but another stage top ten and another day in the polka dot jersey are decent enough considering we didn't bring a sprinter. Congrats to Euskadi, Carsi looking really strong so far.

Another impressive performance from Gibbons considering the sub-par leadout. Congrats to Euskadi |

Not a very good start to the race. Disappointed to see that the lead-out isn’t working at all, with Coutinho just not having the stamina to keep Abdul Halil in the front long enough. One more shot for him on the next stage, hopefully we can do better.

Great sprint from Hamza. Can he improve four more spots tomorrow?

Another 6th. Can’t be disappointed with more points! I think the lack of a lead out is really hurting Afewerki here but he still has the speed to get higher positions. Although consistent points is more important!
Congrats Carson on back to back wins! Thanks for the report

16th and 13th for Wouters isn't really what we had in mind, but in line with the other results this year. Hopefully he gets better during the GT
Nice to see former rider Carsi cleaning up those sprints!
Thanks red for the reports!
