As expected a decent but not amazing TTT, slightly frustrating to drop Fouche but certainly a few seconds is not as bad as some have got it. Excited for the road stages.

Decent start, now let's focus on Oomen. The gaps for Novak and De Plus seem a bit bigger then they should be.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I don't mind missing out to Pidcock. Lagane paying off a lot of work from the team with a nice sprint. More of this please.

Good win for Pidcock, he can probably repeat this tomorrow. Also, can someone tell De Plus we're riding for Oomen?

Congrats to Xero, nice one by Pidcock!
Good to see we could get all riders bar Marchewka (as expected) in the front group - although it's worrying that Darbellay, once again doesn't seem to care, as he should easily be the best suited rider now (given his TT superiority vs. Masnada)...
But we'll happily take 7th and 8th, plus some more GC points on this stage!
Thanks for the report.

Awesome to see that front 2, congrats jandal and TMM as your man Lagane seems like a fun rider. Good stage, shame there’s no real gaps but to be expected - was good to see a few attacks. Dunbar positioned well and most of the team around him pushing the pace at the end is great to see.
Thanks for the report Ulrich, as good as ever

Not quite proving he's the 340,000 euro man that the OVL formula seems to think he is, but nonetheless it's an incredible feeling to see Pidcock taking his first professional victory after the years of development and taking this unique pathway. Awesome day from the team, from Vermeersch as always with the tireless work controlling gaps to Houle and Kipkemboi combining for a perfect delivery and then Pidcock with a clinical finish.
Hoping he can try to repeat tomorrow and then use the bonuses to put himself in position for a good GC finish. Some stage success and him and Fouche both targeting the top 5-10 would be an awesome race for a non-Areruya or Bennett outing (even if we did throw almost every other good rider at it).

Not the result I was looking for with our Puncheurs. Here's hoping that one can do better during the next stages.

Even though I know by now that Calmejane often performs better than his skillset, he still surprises me again and again - congrats to Trans on the stage win! And great to see Houle slowly finding his sprinting legs again, too
For my team, some mixed feelings - although there's more upside than downside. Good to see that - unlike in HK and Ukraine - one of my riders seems to be considered as a GC contender. I guess Darbellay's hill stat is just too low, so Masnada is our leader - I'm fine with that. He doesn't have the sprint skills to compete for stage results on a flat finish, so (easily) holding on was just fine today. Good to see all the TTers holding onto the pack; just Errazkin could've joined the front group as well in an optimal scenario.
We're still holding the race lead, but I'm afraid Izagirre might overtake Masnada in the TT, despite his low energy stats - but +2 TT probably still weighs more. Maybe yellow jersey bonus can help?
Either way, I suspect we'll rather see one of my 78+ TTers (Rekita, Bissegger, Brunel), Politt, or even Dunbar in yellow after the TT. I could imagine that Dunbar, Oomen and Masnada will be more or less on par after S4, which should make Oomen the big favourite for the GC. Fending off the strong puncheurs should be the big goal for Masnada on the final two stages - but let's see what the TT brings first.
Thanks for the report to Ulrich!

Lots of fun stages so far! For myself and others who performed well in the TTT, am glad that the main group has finished as one pack. Hopefully a subset of my guys can end up on a positive RDC and maintain their GC position here. Clearly not looking for a top individual spot unless Hamza picks up a great day early on, but still wishing for decent day across the board. and then some more +st in the days to come.
Congrats to all those with top results so far. It's been exciting racing!

Nice result from Houle who obviously isn't totally done yet as TDU would have suggested. A little annoying that Pidcock lost time - if Houle was going to be the stronger on more decisive stages would have been nice if we gave him the leadout yesterday rather than Pidcock. But still stages to go to see how they all do.

Congrats to Xero and Trans for the stage wins. For us it's a pretty underwhelming race so far (and the TT won't make it any better): a total no-show in the breaks or stage finals, the only one showing up at all were Russo at some intermediate sprints (for whatever reason) and Jiang in the chase (without anyone taking advantage of it). So all hopes on the last two stages, at least it can't get much worse.

Congrats to Indosat, expected win by Dunbar, bringing him back within striking distance of the GC lead.
Disappointed to lose yellow after the ITT, but somehow had to expect it. I know I sound like a broken record, but I definitely did hope that riders like Izagirre wouldn't stand a chance with the new PCM version anymore, but it looks like low res and no rec still doesn't matter at all, at least not on stage 4.
The good thing is that Masnada is still our highest ranked rider in the GC, so hopefully the engine now won't make us support a low-Hill TT rider now. But not having the GC lead anymore could also mean that the team won't do anything now, throwing away a potential high team standing result.
Anyway, completely open race now, I'd still say it's Oomen's to lose. I now have to hope for Masnada to finish on the GC podium, being one of the strongest hybrid riders high up in the GC - but so far the engine didn't have much love for him. Hoping for the best this time
Thanks for the report to Ulrich, a TT report that was easy to follow

Two more decent stages for us, now it's up to Oomen and his support.

I don't really know what we expect by sending Polanco fetch the KoM points when we have basically any other rider more suited to do so. Now I hope that losing more time in the ITT will allow Lafay or Rodriguez to go onto the attack, We should stil be able to get something out of this race.
@ Fab I think the test showed that RES wouldn't matter in shorter stages, and it's probably too short for STA to have a strong effect indeed, moreso with a good TT.
Congrats to those who did well, thank you Ulrich for the reports so far!
