Stability is the name of the game for you. Team leadership is pretty much sorted, possibly shored up with another scorer.

That availability list looks bleak but the wage cut of Evenepoel should help you to make at least some moves to improve again.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Headline for me is the departure of Lammertink. Awesome "role player" rider and right there with Gerts, Gesink, Dombro and Grosu as one of the riders who has the strongest association with your team for me. Enjoyed reporting that Dutch NC he won
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Indeed, Lammertink would have been good enough for another season in the PT, but his role would have been limited in the team, with a few riders being able to take on his role.
And he never won the Dutch championships. I think you are confusing him with Vermeltfoort.
And we do indeed have some space to play with in the transfers. Definitely not enough for another leader, but maybe someone who can bring in some good points. And we certainly need that. Or maybe go for another talent and hope we get lucky again and don't relegate

Some very interesting riders you left on the FA here. I wonder if the talks went sour, because I would have imagined that you would want to keep atleast a couple of those.

The plan would have been to sell them anyway. But I was going to renew them for wages that would have been attractive to other managers. Both Rodriguez and Conti went to the final round but they were not happy with what I offered them.

The availability list is pretty discouraging, especially as there's one rider there I'd like to see in my colours

The past and future of Dutch cycling is here
We are delighted to announce our first two new signings of this transfers season. Both are Dutch. Both have the superstar gene, but are in very different stages of their career. We are talking, as probably many of you have already guesses, about Robert Gesink and Olav Kooij.
Robert Gesink is probably the biggest cult hero of our team and it feels amazing for both the team and himself to have the opportunity to end his career in the team structure that defined such a big and successful part of his career.
Gesink needs no introduction. After leaving the team in 2018, while being the reigning World ITT Champion, he did not really find a home to settle in as good as he did with us. Still, this was rather to different circumstances rather than poor performance from him. It's true that his performances gradually started to drop in terms of results as he grew older, but he always managed to deliver what his teams expect from him. He'll now be a mentor on the bike for many of our youngsters.
Speaking of youngsters, let's talk about our newest one. Olav is not only one of the most talented young Dutch sprinters, but he is one of the most talented young riders in the World. And it's a great satisfaction to sign him as a rider for what we hope will be many years to come.
As it is the route for many young riders, he'll be loaned out at first to gather some experience in some of the smaller races, before actually taking the big step to the Pro Tour stage. Kooij will be ride under Lampre - Pinarello's colors for the 2023 season. We would like to thank the Italian team for the enthusiasm they should in having him aboard and we are sure they will be provide the welcoming environment he and any other young rider needs.
This, unfortunately, means that Olav and Robert won't actually have the chance to ride together as team - mates in any professional races. But we are sure Robert will be sharing many insights with Olav in our training camps, both this off-season and future ones as it looks very likely for Gesink to take on a behind the scenes role with the team after the end of his road cyclist career.

Kooij might be the best, or at least a top 3, talent of the season and at that price he's really great. Cool to see him with the home team, as well. And like DD said, the same goes for Gesink!

So Remco last year and Kooij this year. Looks like you're securing the future of the team

Great past and future 1-2 punch to start the window for you! Hoping that Gesink can sign off in style. Not looking forward to Kooij maxed

Thanks, guys.
Indeed the long term future looks pretty good at the moment. I'm more concerned about the short and medium term future right now. Might include a relegation, but hopefully we'll avoid that.
Kooij does look like a bargain. Especially given how much we paid Remco last year. Let's hope Kooij never finds out about that or it could create some serious tension in the team

Yep, great to have pretty much the biggest Dutch talent in the team. I think him and Remco can give a nice shape to our team's identity for the years to come.

Love seeing Gesink back on your team, and with it now being Rabobank it's perfect!

Rabobank seems like a great home for bot Kooij and Gesink. Congrats on the signings.
And as others have said a cheap price. I think the 3 most expensive talents this year might have got less combined than Girmay.

Yeah, love the setup with Evenepoel and Kooij for the future. Seeing how the current status of PCM is, definitely hope you develop Kooij giving him quite even energy stats, and not the way that gives him massive stamina and recovery. But we shall see, that could be very different come later PCM versions.
Fingers crossed you survive this season, but whatever happens, the future looks very, very interesting for you!

I usually go with more balanced stats so that probably won't change with Kooij.
