That’s the best start we could have hoped for. The time gaps were not really that large which is surprising, hopefully the final TT can have a crazy headwind and be a bit more selective. There’s a long way to go, if Dunbar can keep up or at least limit his losses on the mountain stage he will hopefully go into the lead heading into the final stage (in a perfect world!).
I hope Page can get a decent result for him self tomorrow, he’s been lacklustre this year.
Thanks for the report!

All my climbers had a bad day. Is what it is.

Dumoulin again fails to get close to his billing! Penasa losing 3 minutes is a big disadvantage to start off with but not really surprising I guess. All about that mountain stage for us I guess.
Congrats to Assa and thanks for the report

Decent enough start from Conci. Taaramae not as strong but didn’t really lose much time either. I do hope the old Estonian takes leadership in the Mountains and can follow it up with a commendable final TT in what is likely the last chance he’ll have in his career to win a race.

Ez for us. It really comes down to mountain stage whether big time points are to come. Fernandes and Reis will deliver a decent performance in the final TT regardless, so not losing big time on the climb can give us big GC results

What a finish by Stepniak
Definitely thought that the others launched way too early, even ahead of the red kite, but I supposed he might end up 7th or 8th. 3rd is another big result for him, he's definitely worth those 50k
And I hope Mäder finishing barely inside the Top 100 isn't a foreshadowing for the mountain stage, but I hope he'll do well.
Congrats to P4E, and commiserations to Xero for getting cursed by leadout here...
Thanks for the report to Imladrik, nice coverage of the important stuff

Not good from from Lander. 4 wasted race days is never ideal, but not a big deal if we can survive tomorrow well.

Slight mistiming on Kalaba's part but would be bonus points compared to the GC.

You gotta love how the key man to our Gaviria success last year turns into a great sprinter himself. Loving the victory for Alex, congrats fjhoekie!

Why would we try to do a leadout with those riders...

Congrats Fj, good win
Page just hasn’t quite been as good at finding the right wheel this season. He was the perennial overperformer for us last season, so all is forgiven. Now for the big boys to do their thing - hopefully a nice, hard space up the final climb and it’s a messy sprint in the final KM between a group of ~20 riders with minimal time gaps.
Thanks for the report!

Willwohl P4? Take that! Thats especially what i hoped for, finishing top 10 on a sprint stage and p4 is even a bit higher. Great job, also again early representation of our colors. Good job team!
Congrats to winners and thanks for the report!

We should've put someone in the break given Penasa's position but we don't do that, do we?
McLay at least showing up for the sprint is nice, wasn't a total dud of a stage. Next one is the big one for us.
Congrats to hoekie and thanks for the report

This kind of result just makes me want to run away from MG. Just ridiculous, sorry. Why send a 77 climber when 66 is enough? I hate that PCM version.
Even worse for Voyagin with Shikai obviously, that's just awful. Commiserations, mate. I really have no clue how PCM gets to such outcomes.

Grande Cattaneo! That's a pretty lead going into tomorrow. Dennis slightly disappointing today but will get some places back hopefully.

Absolutely stupid AI to make Houle the GC leader. Stages for this race should be looked at next year to either make the stage register as MO not HI or stop being advertised that way.

Again no ideal result for Haig, but maybe he will at least make the Top-5 eventually.

Not the most ideal result, not incredibly selective but also not selective enough. Paillot only 45-1’ down to Dunbar is still scary, and there’s of course Kamna, Haig and Conci right behind too. Don’t mean to sound dramatic, but our survival entirely relies upon Dunbar not having a bad day tomorrow. Rodrigues and Cuming should be in free fall tomorrow, so a podium has to be the priority. Dunbar has to do it for the extra juice he will get over the off-season that he won’t get with us if we’re in CT, so he has the incentive
Thanks for the report, it was good to follow!
