Well done Staff Base
A quiet day for Glanbia but at the end of it we have 5 riders in the top 20. Obviously tomorrow will be more selective but it's still a great platform

Can't be too unhappy with fourth, third and some bonus seconds would have been nice but 4th keeps the points jersey as a possibility. Very much enjoyed Warbasse doing some sprinting. Boswell safely in the first group.
Happy to sacrifice Keough in the GC if we can get rid of the other TT and sprint riders tomorrow. And a little time on Craddock would be nice as he worries me a lot with his PRL. So Warbasse needs to carry today's fighting spirit into tomorrow.
Congrats to Ezee and Staffbase and thanks to LLS for filling the reporting gap.

Our first win of the season!!! Great work of the team to bring Willwohl in the position. Was a thrilling sprint and the luck and legs were on our side this time. Obviously I am very happy with the outcome.
For the 1st stage we didnt have any hopes so that was fine too.
Thanks for the great reporting and congrats to all the other good results!

Both Pavlic and Penko survived the hills and both are in a better position than I could've imagined heading into the final stage.
No idea on what to expect next, but I guess that's pretty normal for this race.

Guess that was a so-so stage for us. Chavanne not making the split definitely hurts. Furthermore, Aregger didn't seem to have the legs to sprint, as he should've easily been the fastest man up front.
But the good news is he did make the selection and is still fighting for the overall win - let's hope he can perform according to his stats in the epilogue, unlike he did in the prologue.
Kopfauf should now be the (surprising) favorite for the GC - definitely didn't think he could make that split. Chavanne can still fight for green, and as said before Aregger has a shot at a good GC result. Given the race's usual randomness, I guess it has been rather kind to us this year, and we'll definitely leave with some nice points.
Congrats to Le Creuset, Alaphilippe is really having a nice year so far! And thanks to LLS for the report.

Not ideal. Boswell does love finishing 4th and 5th. Not nearly selective enough to give us any security so it all comes down to the PRL stat which is very scary. Fear this could turn into another almost race where we take a bunch of minor depth stuff which would be great if we didn't have 3 of the team leaders in the race.
Thanks for the report.

Alaphilippe with the teams first ever win.
On the other side the time lost on stage 2 now is really bitter as he would have claimed the lead with that win and probably could have a go for the GC in the final TT.
Not to forget Kmieliauskas with the short-lived first ever leader jersey for the team (just U25 but nonetheless).

Thanks LLS for the reports and congrats to Jakstar on the win
Focusing on the positive here - I believe the teams competition win is our first ever. And 3 in the top 10 is a performance we would have dreamed of in prior seasons. Nice to see Mohammad pick up a GC top 10, wasn't considering that before the race.
Since I am being positive I am going to limit myself to one moan - Keough is due a good day in a prologue, is always in the top 3 favorites but has 1 podium over 2 seasons and has finished outside the points multiple times. The USA PCC would be a good time for him to out-perform his stats a little.

Warbasse always seems to falter on the TT bike despite his stats, even when he overperforms elsewhere. Prologues are random, so it is what it is. But disappointing to see after he was in such a good spot.

Disappointing race from the boys. Had hoped to score some points to keep the rankings in our favor. Thanks for the reporting LLS and congrats to the winners.

Well done BNZ, big win.
Good performance from Craddock. I could hardly have designed a more ideal course for him...well maybe another 1km of climbing but he did well.
Disappointed not to land a stage, we were there or thereabouts but just missed out. That Craddock 4th has somewhat salvaged the month...

Wow, that almost went according to the dream scenario - in that one, Aregger would have taken some bonus seconds on stage 2 or 3, and hence won the GC. But I definitely won't complain about taking a 2nd GC place in a race that's known to be pretty random!
The only fact that stings a bit is that Kopfauf made the split on stage 3, and Chavanne didn't - as he'd have won the GC otherwise. But that was always unlikely to happen, so 1st, 2nd and the points jersey is still a huge result for Gabby!
Commiserations to McCormick, who were always really close, but never quite there. A great team result for sure, but the fact that our two scorers earn less wage combined (105k) than even just one of their three leaders they sent here still feels a bit odd... However, Cedevita were maybe even more overperforming, well done!
Massive congrats to BNZ on a pretty surprising (at least for me) win - and honestly, I think it's good that both prologues were won by one of the top favourites. Up to Keough to take the next one I guess
And thanks a lot to LLS for finishing March for CT!

Nice to see the prologue specialists putting their stamp on this race. And I'm particularly glad to see Gabby in good shape for such an important race for him.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Yesssss!!! What a win! Kopfauf…wasn’t expecting that! I believe that’s stage race win nunber 1 thanks LLS for the reports and really happy to see Kopfauf and the other prologue specialists get their chance. Really happy for a stage win, GC and the youth rankings from this race that I really didn’t expect much from at all!!!
Extremely happy with the result!

Wow Awesome race for us
3rd and 5th in GC, I haven't done that before I reckon? Both Penko and Pavlic had a strong performance in stage 1 and it seems they were able to carry that momentum until the end of the race. Attentive on both road stages and then another good TT to finish it off. Close to a 100 points scored here I think, which is a hell of a lot for a C2 outing

A bit of overperforming for sure, but maybe I got my planning right here with both Penko and Pavlic having the stat combo that work for this race
Although it's a bit ironic that Penko is eligible due to me messing up his development, as he could've been a 77 TTer
