Seems clear that the top 2 have split themselves from the rest of the pack. Will be hard to catch up as the playoffs begin. The battle for 3rd is very much hot and heavy though.

sosososik picked Philadelphia, but luckily, the only other person who could beat him also picked Philly. sosososik is the 2022 champion! This is the 3rd championship title for sosososik.
A new single season record of 197 points this year! Can anyone break 200 next year? I also would like to thank everyone who allowed this game to continue throughout the years, ultimately winning an award on the site this year for the first time ever.

Best year in a while. As jdog could probably tell, I mostly just picked the favorites unless I had a gut feeling one team was over or underperforming. That worked out decently well until the last few weeks and into the playoffs, when matchups mattered more. Regardless, I'm very satisfied to not lose any ground to TheManxMissile this year (for the first time since 2014)! Congrats to sosososik on the win!

Given that I missed a whole week, this wasn't a terrible year, even if it wasn't great to virtually be eliminated from the title race relatively early because of it. Had the Chiefs scored a TD instead of a FG at the end, and with no more Eagles points, I would have actually gotten the score correctly, which would have been neat.
Looks like kandesbunzler is the main rival in the overall race, reaching Alesle is a tall (longterm) order unless they miss a year (which I hope they won't, of course).
And of course, congrats on the award jseadog, I can only echo everyone else saying it is very well deserved!

Congratulations to sosososik for retaining his title after 8 years and thanks to jdog for organising the prediction game once again.
Looks like kandesbunzler is the main rival in the overall race, reaching Alesle is a tall (longterm) order unless they miss a year (which I hope they won't, of course).
As long as you don't miss an entire season I have no hope of being a competition for you, at least if you keep beating me even when you miss a week.
And at last one idea for the next season:
As guessing the exact score of one game is a mere lottery, I would suggest to change this to guessing the difference in scores, i.e. 'Team A wins by 2 scores', which at least gives a real chance of getting this right and thus making a difference in scoring points.

I was just browsing through this thread and saw some really interesting predictions for the NFL in 2022. I wonder if anyone's predictions have come true so far? Seeing how things play out as the season progresses is always exciting.By the way, I wanted to share a resource that I recently discovered for sports news. It's called Zumroad (https://zumroad.com/sport), and they have a great section on their website dedicated to sports. I find it helpful to keep up to date with the latest news and predictions, and it has definitely increased my chances of winning some spot bets.Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how this NFL season unfolds, and I hope everyone is enjoying the games so far. |
