Lovely from Vingerling, this is what he was signed to do, even if pulls off a couple more then we're very happy. Thanks for the report!

Congrats to Shonak and thanks for the report Nemo.
The way this stage played out was exactly as I hoped when I was planning. Wasn't sure if the Rumac/Haller combination would click but they formed a great train.
Of course I didn't know then that all that careful planning was a waste of time but I am pleased that it actually worked.
Dropping Haller off with 900m to go would only work if he had 85 Res!
I hope for more chaotic sprints where trains can't form to give Haller a chance. |

Just what we want from Page - good positioning, no train and fighting for the podium. We’ll take that every flat stage. A good start, hopefully they can keep it up! Congrats Shonak, solid ride from former rider Colbrelli. Thanks for the report Nemo and for taking this race on!

Good start for Altanzul in the sprints. Gives me confidence he can compete for sure!! Really happy with the first stage of the biggest race of our season!
Congrats to the winner! Excellent report!

Bouglas outside of the scoring positions, but at least he's sprinting. That's a good sign. Hopefully he can get into the scoring positions on stage 2.
Congrats to Strava! I do like seeing CT team winning when we don't.

Congratulations on the S1 win indeed, Shonak.
Next stage in a couple of hours, then normally/hopefully two stages a day in the four coming days.

Haller back on his Tour of America throne, congrats to D2B!
Vingerling in the GC lead after another solid sprint from his side, you love to see it

Good early breakaway work from Morales Ortega. Watching Croes getting some Top20's, he seems up for something once the finishes get a little tougher.

Surprised and humbled by Haller leading all the way from 700m out. Didn't think he had it in him, he certainly made me eat my words!
Great work from the Kraftwerk train, seems we need to get Haller to at least 700m for him to have the stamina to hold on. I suspect wind direction and slope need to be in his favour as well.
Haller has done just enough to pull on the points jersey, a moral boost for the team ahead of 3/4 stages for Nerz to start his GC defense.
Thanks for the thanks and for the rapid reporting Nemo.

Dang. Bouglas was on the perfect wheel there in the perfect spot, but he just didn't have it. From a gameplay perspective, I'm happy to see it though. Bouglas with his resistance cracked, and a better sprinter held on despite starting his sprint earlier. It makes more sense than most PCM sprints.
From a team perspective, bleh. Obviously would like Bouglas to at least be picking up a few points here. He lost out to a lot of similarly situated guys. But not a big deal I suppose.
Big day for the team tomorrow. Hopefully Sterobo can make his participation worth it, and Warbasse can finally live up to his TT potential a bit.
Congrats to Kraftwerk!

Good to see the favourite get the win, congrats Dave!
Page so close again, still just off the podium. Good consistency, can’t expect him to match it with Haller so very happy with that.
Many of the TT specialists are quite similar, so hopefully tomorrow Hofer can benefit from the potential die roll.
Thanks for the report!

I guess that's how the cookie crumbles
Our "train" really isn't doing the job of leading out and Saber can't do it himself by surfing the wheels. It's a bit disappointing, but in the end I know I was taking a risk and I knew this could be the outcome I get.
It's gonna be a bit harder to follow the race with 100% enthusiasm, but I guess we still might have some breakaway chances. And at the end of the day we're not desperate for points. I hope we get a highlight or two from the race, but yeah looks like it's not one for us.
Congrats to the winners and thanks for the reports Nemo

Congrats Bbl, nice win for Sterboro.
Nice day out for Hofer, 6th is alright. EBE in 21st is also a good result for him! Warchol with an acceptable time loss, hopefully Arifin and Verschaeve can help him make it back when the road starts to rise. Really looking forward to the coming stages.
Thanks for the report Nemo!

The sprints keep rolling in consistently, but this first GC day wasn't easy on us. Already +2 min on the clock is not pretty for Min. The next couple of stages looking alluring for him, I'm hoping these prove to be fertile. Anyway we should have a good first selection already at the end of the first week.
Congrats on the wins Dave and bbl!

Great rides from Nerz and Costagli setting Nerz up nicely.
Disappointing from Stimulak, guess his low prologue had an effect over 15km as he wasn't in the favourites list. At least he is useful in the break chasing and leadout so not a waste of time bringing him.
Congrats to BBL and thanks for the great pace of reporting Nemo.

Great race already, thanks to Nemo for reports and well done to all the winners so far!
On stage 2 Nelson did quite well to manage 5th after the lead out. Unfortunately it's probably the best we can hope for as long as he is considered worthy of a lead out
A good performance from Cruz to take 3rd in the TT. I believe the other TT will be too hilly for him so glad he performed. Little disappointed at how far back Brandt was though...but hey a very long way to go!

Was never going to be kept up with Vingerling in yellow, but with Diaz relatively well placed we have a decent outlook from here, looking forward to the next stage which hopefully gives us the first look at how the GC fight will unfold.
Also could be nice with a Riesebeek breakaway attempt.
