Congrats Nemo, really good to see Manarelli get up and take the win!
Gani in 7th is terrific, didn’t even consider him getting it involved due to his low stats so a pleasant surprise
Thanks for the report!

Valiant ride by Sinkeldam. Punched a bit above his weight to stay in the break that long on this type of stage, but he wasn't cut out for a winning performance.
Aranburu just continues to disappoint this year. I thought today's stage would actually suit him better than stage 1, but I was clearly wrong, as he loses a full 9 minutes to drop even out of the minor placing battles. Very tough year for him. He might be better off as a pure domestique going forward.
Congrats to valv! Deserved win for Kinoshita.

It was concerning enough that Skujins was working for Hoelgaard on Stage 1, but now both of them were dropped early in the chase and didn't even manage to hold onto Top 20 placings in the GC. Spending everything I had on the Latvian will hopefully be the worst managerial decision I will ever make. |

Sorry for not having commented during the weekend. Went away with no Internet access. Thank you for giving us the reports so far, UU!
For Kwiatkowski, I'm a little frustrated it's two 4th places and not one podium finish. Especially when you see how the GC looks. I mean, if he ends this rae 5th, on the same time as 3rd and less than 20 seconds behind the GC winner, it's a race with a lot of "what if" moments
For Amezawa, that was a very good 3rd stage! Happy to see that, especially as I thought the first stage was the one that suited him the best. Hopefully he can keep that GC top 10 on the final stage, which will add nice depth points, and also kind of start his season with him finally scoring decent points. That should be possible, seeing he got more than 2 minutes down to 11th.
Should be a very exciting final stage. Looking at the profile, it feels like it should be a "sprint" up the final hill, making positioning an absolute key for Kwiatkowski and our team. Hopefully they get it right! |

I haven't been overly impressed with the team as a whole. I thought we might have one or two riders a bit higher in the GC, apart from Beltran of course.
On the other hand the Colombian has rode a quiet, but efficient race so far. Sitting 2nd in GC ahead of the final stage is as good as I could've hoped for. I like that there is a bit of a gap to 6th in GC. So in terms of our sponsor goal, a top 5 finish looks good right now. Hopefully Beltran can be in the 1st group tomorrow and that should be good enough.
Congrats on the win valv

Raileanu keeping us somewhat interested I guess. Someone can try to join the break I hope since we are sucking everywhere else.
Congrats to Valverde and thanks for the report Ulrich

A shame we didn't join a break that big, hopefully we join the break on the last stage. Beltran is looking good to win it exactly the same way he won last year. Great stage win for Voyagin/Kinoshita.
Thanks for the report, Ulrich!

At least Jensen went for the ballsy move but still a train wreck with him losing a bunch of time anyway and Luchshenko falling off a cliff. Another one to cross off.
Congrats though Valv! Hope Kinoshita can take the GC tomorrow too

Loving the Kinoshita win but also feeling for especially Skujins and Kelderman, even though it always was going to be a little tough for them. Great reports!

A couple of breaks, some ok sprinting from Aberasturi. At least we are showing off the jersey in a race we can't really influence.

This has been a good race for us. We need a good GC to move up out of the relegation spots, but Liu on Stage 2, and Kinoshita now, have been good stage results.
Thanks for the congrats everyone, and sorry I am not as on top of things recently.

Catching up
S1 - good podium from Arndt and 3rd in Teams is encouraging
S2 - one of the few races we didn't bring a sprinter
S3 - Oh dear! Bilbao 3+mins down, Arndt 4+mins down and out of the top 10 GC, Teams down to 5th.
Really need a big push from the whole team on S4 to get back into the top 3 Teams.
Thanks for the reports Ulrich and congrats to the winners.

Stage 4 now up. Sorry for the delay, thought I had posted it a few days ago then read D2B's post and realized something had gone wrong. Must have done all the editing and failed to hit Post thread.

That was easily the best race of the year for us. Kinoshita rode a near perfect race.
Thanks for the reports.

Ugh. 11th would have been good, great even from Aranburu if he could have been even remotely competent yesterday. That 25th could have easily been inside the top 20.
Luckily Sinkeldam's attacking the last couple of days got him 20th on GC, and combined with Alex's 25th, we don't leave this race completely empty. Plus, it was just fun to see our guys in the break and riding strongly.
Congrats to valv! And thank you to Ulrich for 4 awesome reports!

Awesome performance by Kinoshita here. Frankiny with a surprising podium which I love as he's a former rider for us and did very well. Beltran sadly a little under his weight but solid enough to bag some good points.
Great reports!

Thank you for the report, UU!
What a huge final stage that was for us! Super happy with that It was a big performance in a very unexpected way, with Amezawa proving to be among the strongest in the race, and having him up there with big gaps behind, his 5th in GC must be considered his breakthrough
Kwiatkowski also on a good day, challenging Kinoshita for the stage, despite working quite a bit before. Kinoshita probably worked just as much or more at the front, but still encouraging to see Kwiatkowski gap the other hybrids and puncheurs.
Great points haul for us, and a big highlight this season with Amezawa's performance!
Congratulations on the GC win and dominant end to the race, valverde. |

Good last stage for us from Raileanu. Those are the kinds of skirmishes I was hoping he'd do when I went for him. Bit meh race for us overall though. Was hoping Raileanu would gain a couple more positions at least.
Congrats to Valverde and thanks for the great reports Ulrich

Not a great race for us, but not bad also.
Beltran had probably his first bad day in a stage race this season. Luckily we're not battling relegation, so not in desperate need of points. Also finishing 4th in GC is enough to complete our sponsor goal which was priority #1 for this race
The overall depth is not bad, but again I thought it would be a bit better. I thought Gaudu would be good enough for a top 35 spot, but he does add a few pts from 3rd in U25. Ardila also a couple pts for a lvl 1 rider is nice. The streak of U25 pts scored is now up to 11 races
It happened in Vineyards and it happened here that we have someone in 51st missing the pts which is a bit frustrating. Although 2nd in the team classification is a good achievement and always a source of pride after featuring at the bottom of those rankings for years
Thanks for the great reports Ulrich and congrats to Valv, Ember and Sammy on a very good result
