Tour of Antalya – Stage 3: Akdamlar - Feslikan Yaylasi ITT
The 3rd stage In Antalya, is a mountain ITT. Not any hope for us, against much stronger riders from World Tour Teams.
The stage was won by Esteban Cháves (BikeExchange). Our best was Torstein Træen losing 2’08. I lost 2’59. Esteban Cháves leads the GC with 4” to Ilan Van Wilder (DSM) and 13” to Jai Hindley (DSM) . We are now all out of top 30.
Not simulated, just forgot to take a picture

Rasmus Tiller / Kristoffer Halvorsen
Clasica de Almeria
Our best sprinters are riding 1.Pro one day race, Clasica de Almeria in Andalusia, Spain. A 16 rider breakaway was no match for the peloton and our team set up a train. Erlend Blikra supposed to open for Rasmus Tiller as last man for Kristoffer Halvorsen.
Kristoffer Halvorsen maybe waited too long and was caught in some traffic. But the result was ok’ish with Rasmus Tiller 5th and Kristoffer Halvorsen 7th.
The race was won by Mike Teunissen (Jumbo) in front of Iván García Cortina (Movistar) and Pascal Ackermann (BORA)

Tour of Antalya – Final Stage 4: Side - Antalya
With the KoM secured, my role today is to protect Anders Skaarseth, as he will have an important function in our sprint setup for Søren Wærenskjold.
Our sprint setup worked nice today, but sadly not having the legs to find a podium.
Søren Wærenskjold finished 4th and Anders Skaarseth 9th. The stage was won by Simone Velasco (Gazprom). Esteban Cháves (BikeExchange) won the GC.
As mentioned, I was on the podium to collect the King of Mountain Jersey.

Team Result:
Tour du Rwanda 8 stages.
Up until the last day of the tour our best stage result was 32th with Jacob Hindsgaul Madsen. Morten Hulgaard 30th in GC. But Niklas Larsen finished 7th at the last cobbled stage, and with Morten Hulgaard as 13th on the day, he moved up to 10th in GC. Making it a decent race for us.

Faun-Ardèche Classic (1 Pro) Guilherand-Granges - Guilherand-Granges
Rasmus Tiller was our leader in this race with me and Torstein Træen as free riders. We did not take part in the 12 rider morning breakaway. Torstein Træen was able to join a 2nd wave when the favourites started the decisive attacks over the two last hills, he ended the race as our best (34th), The race was won by Andrea Bagioli (Quick Step)
Torstein Træen in the pursuit.

Rasmus Tiller/ Kristoffer Halvorsen
Kuurne - Brussel - Kuurne (1.Pro)
Rasmus Tiller was our leader in the race. With an early crash his options faded away early. Although it was dramatic when his head collided with the concrete he got back up and made it to the finish without serious injuries.
With Tiller out, the team focus was on Kristoffer Halvorsen. With the help of Erik Nordsaeter Resell and others riders, Kristoffer made it to the finish with the favourites. Coming 8th in a high-profile race like this was amazing, probably our season best so far.

Rasmus Tiller
Ronde van Drenthe (1.1)
Rasmus Tiller again our leader in this cobbled classic. Jonas Iversby Hvideberg did a good job making it into the breakaway, but was caught quite early.
Rasmus Tiller and Erik Nordsaeter Resell was our riders in the 19-man group leading with about 30” on the last few km of the race. Erik did a good job for the team leader, Rasmus Tiller took the last podium today.

Rasmus Tiller / Markus Hoelgaard
Nokere Koerse (1.Pro)
Rasmus Tiller & Markus Hoelgaard share leadership in this race, Markus Hoelgaard the better sprinter Rasmus Tiller the better cobbler.
After the morning turmoil 11 riders are joined in the breakaway of the day, but as so often in these classic races they are caught just as we enter the decisive moments of the race.
With about 12 km left, a large front group
Rasmus Tiller finish 8th Markus Hoelgaard 9th. The race was won by Kasper Asgreen (Quick Step)

Rasmus Tiller
Bredene Koksijde Classic (1.Pro)
Rasmus Tiller was our leader in this race. A very fast race with a huge breakaway of 16 riders. Quite early he was isolated with just Erik Nordsaeter Resell in a reduced peloton of about 60 riders. The breakaway was caught, at this point Tiller was basically alone with some 8-9 km left.
Søren Kragh Andersen (DSM) launched a late attach. Rasmus Tiller took the wheel of David Dekker (Jumbo) turned out to be a perfect solution as the young Dutch riders won the race. Rasmus Tiller took the last podium, a great result from him.

Medium Team Goal - Halvorsen
First WT race of the season, the team management has a goal of a top 10 result here.
Oxyclean Classic Brugge-De Panne (WT)
Not the best day for us, as our train lost contact with the first group some 6-8 km before the finish-line. We never came back. Our only rider in the leading group was Frederik Rodenberg he finished 27th. The race was won by Elia Viviani (Cofidis).

Minor Team Goal - Rasmus Tiller
The team management has a very optimistic goal of a top 5 here.
Dwars door Vlaanderen (WT)
After the first hills and cobbled sectors, it was clear that Rasmus Tiller did not have the legs today. So Erik Nordsaeter Resell got the chance to prove himself. As our only riders he was able to stay with the favourites past the 10 km banner.
The Norwegian was in the sprint for 8th in the third group, finishing at 1’10”. 13th in this high-profile race, a fine result for Resell, having a rather weak sprint.
Jens Keukeleire (EF Education) won the race.

Gran Premio Miguel Indurain (1. Pro)
Quite surprisingly at least for me, I was chosen as our leader for this semi-mountain race.
It is was cold and rainy race, some crashes took down several riders, including a few of ours. As I expected, turned out rather early that the race was too hilly for me, better suiting my punchier teammate, Markus Hoelgaard. I used my last energy, getting a bottle for Markus, then with 25 km left had to let go of the front.
Markus Hoelgaard finished 16th losing 2’04, I came in as 25th at 4'08.

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (2. Pro)
Stage 1/6. Istanbul - Tekirdag
Our top sprinter Kristoffer Halvorsen would be the leader of this race. Targeting stage wins more than a minor GC result. Today Halvorsen did not have the best legs, but Daniel Hoelgaard had a brilliant day as 2nd sprinter, hopefully he could help Kristoffer get a result. At the first part of the race, I had no particular role besides delivering the last round of water with some 50 km left.
Later at the last KoM with under 10 km left, I fronted our train to get them safely over the top.
Our sprint setup was fine, Markus Hoelgaard, Daniel Hoelgaard, Kristoffer Halvorsen. But others had a better day. Kristoffer Halvorsen 5th Daniel Hoelgaard 7th. The stage was won by Alexander Krieger (Alpecin) in front of Mark Cavendish (Quick Step)
