My time trialists not really working well so far.
Sergent and Hepburn with the 2nd not really good TT this season already.
Erdenebat surprisingly the best and also Groenewegen did okay I`d say, which is most important.
Hopefully Groenewegen can gain some bonus seconds in the sprint lottery again. 1-2 good stage results might already be enough for a decent GC.
Mine are all over the place too
These are my riders result:
5 Ioannidis 76 PRL / 75 TT
7 Farantakis 77 PRL / 71 TT
12 Vlatos 81 PRL / 81 TT
51 Coquard 79 PRL / 65 TT
72 Kiriakidis 74 PRL / 74 TT
Seems pretty random at best.

50th for a 82 prl rider really is a joke. And also Hsu finishing a minute down despite being not that bad at time trials is disappointing. |

Take a bow, Filippo Ganna!
If I had been able to post something pre-race, I would've highlighted the switch from an epilogue to a prologue to benefit us with the opportunity to collect U25 points throughout the race and a favorable AI treatment if we manage to put one of our riders towards the front.
And while Sütterlin (somewhat predictably thanks to his unpredictability) failed to double down on his Tasmania showing, Ganna really made up for his disappointing season start here!
With plenty of prologues on his race schedule this season, I hoped to maybe see him podium two of those over the course of 2021, so it's crazy that he's already halfway there within the first month.
That's particularly useful here with decent GC points and hopefully a white jersey on the line, and especially with the gap to the rest of the field being mighty impressive, I really hope we can avoid stupid splits and stuff and see as few consistent sprinters as possible pass him throughout the week.
And all of this while STILL unmaxed.
Aregger with just as much of a surprise here, his random PRL stat paying off for once!
I certainly don't expect him to participate much in the sprints, but this result alone can give him decent GC points as well if the game at least keeps him around the front.
Congrats to SKA and Grieg! An impressive season start between this and Würtz' victory.

There we go now let's hope we don't get screwed by the AI and Gaviria doesn't bother to sprint anymore

Good to see the train working so well. Not sure if Grosu is gonna agree with that though. Definitely left in the wind too early and it's disappointing to see him not even making it into the top 10.

Always a bit underwhelming to be 5th when your rider leads 200m from the line, but I know he wasn’t going to win already from the 800m picture as he was too early in the Wind and too far ahead.
Seemed like fair game though with most og the strengest sprinters participating and doing reasonably well (relatively speaking). I Can live with such results.
Gaviria easily the man to beat, but that was well known prior to the race. The prologue helped Coquard significantly less than the epilogue used to do in the past, so theres not much else to do than keep delivering top 5 results spiced up with a stagewin along the way.
Congrats on the Gaviria win. Nice to see when training works.

PCM has never been good dealing with multiple potential leaders, and that still shows. Boudat is clearly better positioned in the GC, but it's Reinhardt who participates in the sprint. He did really well, 10th is a good result in this stacked field. Still, a bit sad to see Boudat not even trying.
Congrats to Isostar, your transfer season definitely proves to have been a very successful one!

Well, that's one way to make me realise what a crap prologue Luke did Very nice to take two stage podiums in a row(e), our stated aim for these kinds of races is to be visible and do something and this is certainly it! Was a great comeback at the end especially after he looked to be slipping backwards from a good position in the train-hopping stuff. Not sure what we can do from here, have a feeling this will end up with Schomber and Rowe both kind of lower top 20 or 25 on GC but who knows, hope they can both stay safe or even take advantage of the crosswinds if they come given they both have good flat stats and great help in Morne and Jams! Probably a fluke and he'll return to struggling to get in the top 10, but still this result brings a lot of excitement for the rest of the race!

Had hoped we could try to mix it up in the sprint given the yellow jersey, but would be hard to get a top 10 anyway. A little bummer that Kragh lost yellow already, but a great start for Gaviria.
Cool sprint today, hope the others will be close as well.

ISA and Huski’s trains both failing is a bad sign. None have been successful so far regardless how good the lead sprinter in the train is. A bit of a worry.

Very good to see that we got a sprint train even though no victory (so close though). Makes me feel it was worth it to invest a bit in getting riders for a train.
Gaviria will most likely be hell to race against this year

A solid day 1 on the road for us, with both Ganna and Aregger staying around the front and Meiler surprisingly making it a trio in the Top 30 who stayed well safe from any time gap risks.
And with Gaviria, Ahlstrand and Rowe taking the big bonuses, I'm happy to see two of the sprinters up there who were going to end up ahead of Ganna no matter what, and a wildcard in third who might not pass him at all in the remaining four stages with 19 seconds to spare.
Congrats to all three teams, but obviously to Isostar most of all, it's only four race days in and you're already back in a significant lead!

Well that’s just like every year. Crap performance by Coquard. This year he won’t even get a top 10 GC

Happy to see Swift at least contesting these sprints. Hoping he gets lucky with his timing on one of these to steal a stage win.
Also, Cherkasov is a beast!

Another good display from our train. And this time with a good results from Grosu too. He needs to constantly be in the top 10 if we want to get anything out of this race.

Wow, I don’t know where our confidence came from but I’m loving it! Forming a train with 74 and 73 sprinters for a 79 sprinter against the PT’s best! And what’s more it worked - god I love Jams!!! Top 5 is another brilliant result, not sure if this can keep going but I’d love it if it does. Brilliant effort by the whole team, loanee Mudgway already providing more than I thought he would in the whole year, Jams being a versatile king and team legend and Rowe holding his own - yes boys!!

Great 2nd stage with a 4th by Groenewegen. Even more surprising he then disappeared today not even sprinting.
Hope to see more participating obviously as some more bonus seconds are needed.
Congrats to ISA but also Croatia. Gaviria looking good. |

Good to see that Gaviria sprinting here when in yellow. Thats a good sign for the game.
I would really like to see teams trying to use any wind and/or attempt late attacks here. Or at the very least, trying to get an Evonik rider into a breakaway. |
