Thanks for the report.

Ahhhhhhhhh! Wasn't able to be around here much over the past weeks due to some not super great IRL stuff, but my god, what a result to check in for! This is precisely the type of sprint I had in mind for Silvestre - starting in the second row, then using the strong flat and acc stats to get to the front in the end.
I would have hoped to have one, maybe two of these results over the whole season, so to open with that is just incredible. Mugisha in the breakaway is icing on the cake. Happy to have Carlsberg on the podium with us, too, as fellow promotees (is that a word?). Not a terrible way to present our beautiful new jersey either (courtesy of the talented Mr Hoyle), which I didn't get around to yet in the HQ.
And last but not least, thank you for a very nice report Nemo, well worthy of opening day!

Well, it was a perfect race until about 1.5km to go. The final result definitely hurts, but I'm happy we don't have a "discount sprinter" winning this one, on the contrary!
How's my first impression of the new version?
Bad news
- The sprint A"I" is as dumb as ever before
- We completely messed up the timing - as a direct consequence of the aforementioned point
Good news
- PCM 20 considers Reinhardt as a real threat, given that we even built a train
- The new sprint setup is working right from the start
Obviously, having a train still seems to be a huge disadvantage in some cases. Releasing the sprinter with 1km to go has almost never worked, and never will - and in my eyes is still a game-breaking "feature".
But the past has shown as well that the train hase more often than not been worth at least a Top 10 for Reinhardt, so even though I'm heavily disappointed by the outcome, the team did a great job almost until the end.
The fact that Coutinho finished only one spot ahead of Reinhardt in the end probably also means that Res isn't the decisive thing, as he also heavily cracked. I'm positive that better results will come - although it's obviously frustrating to do all the great work just for the others ^^ And having no-one else in the Top 30 isn't optimal, either...
So, really mixed feelings, pretty disappointed about the result, but still hopeful for the flat races to come. Thanks for the report, Nemo, and congrats for a huge PCT start to Bralirwa and Carlsberg (and Philips, and P:A... ^^)

Congrats Cunego, what a win!
Disappointing for us, but can’t look too much into the DUC. Hopefully we can get it right in the TDU.
Thanks for the report!

Great to see the season start!
Been away for the weekend, but obviously a pleasant surprise to see the races rolling across all divisions For us, both this race and TDU looks like difficult races to perform points winning results in. Got my hopes up early when we did some chasing, but unfortunately we had no one to try a late move like Veyhe and Katrasnik. Impossible to get away, but it would have been good to at least show we were in the race
Congratulations on the win, cunego! Strong, strong start for you. Also a great start for Kragh, maybe he simply just works according to his stats in the PCT? Well done to you too, bbl! |

Think that's as good a start as we could've hoped for. Great job by Van Asbroeck and the team to get him into a good spot We have done well in the past in this race as well so it's nice to keep that run going.
Congrats on the win cunego and for the excellent report Nemo!

That was an underwhelming start of the season... But was to be expected, better races should follow soon

Great to see the season starting!
Good result for Van der Sande in the end with 7th. Didn't expect to score as he only popped up in the finish line screenshots. It's actually sort of a relief to see him finish top10 and even ahead of Ewan!
Being the only rider in the top140 is not inspiring though. Congrats on the win cunego. Silvestre seems like a good acquisition!
Thanks for the report jandal!
Intense race in the end

The sprint wasn't perfect but at least Bonifazio is sprinting again. I call that a win!
(please award me a win?)
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not going to be lie... I don't know whether that was a good result or not given the strength of the PCT this year. A disappointment given the 2nd place from last year but Nizzolo was at least in the mix

What a race! Outstanding result for the Rwandan boys, congrats. Love to see it
Afewerki in 6th is a great result given the field. This is exactly the type of performance I was hoping to get from him. Don’t expect him to shoot the lights out in terms of final season rankings, but a constant trickle of points will be great.
Thanks for the reporting nemolito. Apologies to the MG community for being a bit scarce lately. Started a new job (it’s keeping me really but it’s going great). I’m also writing an honours thesis so I’m just trying to keep my head above water!
