Janse van Rensburgs KOM-shirt might very well be the only thing we can get from this race, so you better hold on to it |

Yay Bouhanni! Not much for us to cheer about, just waiting for that TT stage since nobody seems up for breakaways

Quite indicative that we perform better when our train falls apart. Hope that happens in the other two sprint stages as well

Manarelli with a second stage quite similar to the first one. He is active and in scoring positions, a shame it's one of the lower ones. Two more chances for him, but of course the most important stage for us should still be the time trial. Thanks for the report!

*sigh*
Scully is about back to where he was most of the season - not in the scoring spots. If he doesn't manage to improve on the remaining sprint stages, we might leave empty-handed, which would definitely mean to drop behind Philips. We're not there yet, though, and so it's definitely time to wake up for our Kiwi!
There was a period this season where I thought he might be a candidate for a PCT contract next year - but I guess not...

Man, Coutinho is really dominating this race! Congrats Guave (feel free to bask in your glory, I see you still visit this site )! Selig did very well to lose Naesen's wheel here Third is a decent result. I hope Hadi does well tomorrow, maybe sneak into the Top20.

Man, van Heerden's performance at Vuelta Tachira really got my hopes up for nothing. I know it was a really weak field, but his top 5s/podium really made me think that he could get an occasional top 10. He just has never sprinted since, like not at all.
Going to be a relief to start the next season on a new footing. Congrats to Guave!

A little annoying that we don't go in breaks because we apparently have a two star favorite everyday in Eislers. Then obviously Eislers doesn't actually ever sprint. Not that he's really good enough to be doing that, but I don't know why the game thinks he's a pre-race favorite then.
But I phoned this one in for Course, and got what I want there, so an empty race here is fine.

Great selection of priorities by Scully... Winning the intermediate sprint, then not even trying in the end - well done. We're definitely on our way to zero points, if Bissegger doesn't somehow get a few U25 points.
I guess Scully just proves that the adapted OVL formula doesn't really work for sprinters, as he'd be the 3rd best of the division - which he is by far not (I know that his PRL probably boosts him, but with only one race on the calendar for sprinter/prologue hybrids, that still doesn't feel right). If he gets a renewal, he'll surely be available for sale, as even some drafted sprinters probably scored more points than him from sprint races...

Oh... well that sucked. Quaade 2 minutes back of a guy with the same TT stat, behind a lot of lesser guys, 30th place despite being tied for the top TT is a little crazy. To be honest I kind of thought a top 10-15 was a given. Guess I shouldn't take anything for granted.
That wind change was absolutely insane too. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything quite that significant in PCM before. Everyone who started past midway was just boned from the get go.
That confirms this race will be a zero pointer for us. Sucks, but we haven't had many of them this year, and we didn't really need to perform here for anything.
Congrats to Philips!

Dumoulin kind of never wins but this year he was so close several times. About time he got a big win himself. Congrats Abhishek to this performance.
The wind might have had huge impact, which was kind of a lottery, though with the big time gap I guess he could have won anyway. |

Season's worth of bad luck turned around with a gust of wind eh?
Great to have Dumoulin finally winning, he's been due. Not the best way to get the stage win. Bad luck to those affected by the changing conditions, especially Glanbia who I guess had targeted this race.
I'd like to believe that Dumoulin could've won anyway, like roturn mentioned. Fingers crossed he and Henttala stay safe on the final stage.
Thanks for the congrats and the report

Good performance, not great. Tryg has certainly bested us with a great ride from Norsgaard here. Damn, that top 5 goal looked really possible.
Dumoulin deserved that win, congrats!

Oh man that's devastating but good to see Dumoulin win having stolen a stage off him earlier in the season.
11th here is far worse than my worst fears. Looking at serious budget ramifications next year!

Eighth on the day even though he is one of the only 78/78 tt'ists in the division is sour once again, and kind of represents Sterbini's season. There weren't a lot of individual time trial chances for him this season, but he still disappointed tbf. At least we get sixth in GC and therefore hopefully sealing our seventh place in the ranking
Congratulations to Abhi, though! Glad to see Dumoulin doing well and taking the win!
Thanks for the report again, Ulrich, looking forward to the last one (which is also the last time my riders should be competitive this season, as Zuri will be a no-show obviously)

Well, we should at least gain one point, if Brüngger doesn't mess it up in the last stage. Underwhelming for sure, especially due to Scully, but at least (probably) not pointless.
Congrats to Philips, the #1 favorite is finally on the division's podium! Honestly, it sucks a lot to be kicked off at the very end of the year, but you definitely deserve that spot with your great team!
