Congratulations, Atlantius! Big win for a PCT sprinter in such a field.
No tries for the breakaway on the first stage is worrying, but hopefully we turn it around on stage 2. Stage 2 and 5 look to be keys for the KoM classification, meaning we've got to be up front if we're going to score any points from it |

Gulp, that wasn't a good start
Seeing Kurianov in the breakaway is alright. Unfortunetely he's not really able to contest KOMs, but I wouldn't mind seeing him attack again. The fact he was in the breakaway for so long, Boeckmans should be taking advatange of that, not falling asleep like he did
Manninen winning again, how about giving someone else a chance

Missed the opening stage, so I just enjoyed two good reads here! A pity to not have the race lead with two great results, but a 2nd place and a stage win is already quite the best possible outcome for Howard in this race. If he can add another result, it would be even better, or course. Unfortunately we do not have the valuable top TT guys anymore, so those stage results give us good points, when the GC probably won't do.

Nice to see Kumara being so active in the breaks so far, tomorrow is obviously a massive write off, unless Durasek pulls out a miracle performance. Went in to this race expecting it to be a 0 pointer, and now we at least got 1, thanks for the updates and looking forward to watching the top tt guys in action tomorrow.

Can't really complain having 3 riders ahead of the gap even though this won't matter a lot with the TT.
3rd and 5th is okay but nothing huge. At least the team is trying but not sure it's smart to form a train with no ideal riders.
Hopefully a stage win can still deliver bigger points as this is needed most. |

Don't think the gap will matter too much for the GC, but hopefully not many more of those in the coming sprint stages.
Surprised that we did a lot of work during the stage, but it doesn't hurt to be on the safe side. Now fingers crossed for a good TT tomorrow.
Congrats on the win, tsmoha!

Good to see Yzeiraj up front. Not so great to see it give zero KoM points Looks like we'll need to count on a +5 day from Vangstad here in the TT. At least we can hope! |

Dreadful opening stage from Avelino but I’ve come to expect that.
However! Great turn around on Stage 2 to take 4th. Robert will have work to do with that gap but he’s still there.

Two chances gone now, two more remain.
At least this time Boeckmans was up there and involved. Hopefully we get something from the TT because the sprints haven't been good for us.

So far, so good, TT time! This could make or break our podium chances.

Pretty solid TT by Vlatos here. If he can stay towards the front he atleast could take a result matching his qualities - unlike Coquard who has been a total no-show unfortunately throwing A LOT of potential points aways (stagewins and jerseys on 2 stages).
Ioannidis also with a very solid result here. He SHOULD be able to survive all stage bumps, possible being among the top 5 puncheurs/climbers in the top 20 GC. Not that it should be an issue, but you'll never know.
And I guess I should be happy with the underperformance from Sütterlin, considering cios wish for Coquard to not show up, but I can't quite like the idea of taking a spot more or less due to others misfortune.

I didn't mean for my words to sting that much...
There's a lot of misfortune going around in this game by default, and you know that 95% of the time I'm happy to see you do well!
You would surely deserve third overall just as much.
And indeed, this TT has been shit for us, especially with Ioannidis added into the mix.
If only we were exploring other scoring opportunities.

Mads! He's been close several times, but Phinney has always had a little extra in the final part. He finished strong today as well, but luckily Würtz managed to stay ahead. Awesome to see and probably the biggest win of his career considering the competition. He's been incredible steady this year, so awesome to see him really getting rewarded today. The rest of the team a bit mixed, but that doesn't matter now! Hopefully we can keep it together the next two days and avoid any bad luck. Thanks for the report, Abhi!

At least we had some depth with a few riders inside the Top 50 and O'Shea fighting for a Top 25 result now. Couldn't really expect anything more bar an overperformance, so I'm fine. Hopefully Howard can keep sprinting at his highest level here!

Congratulations, tastasol! That's a surprise win indeed! When was Phinney last beaten in a TT race?
Vangstad with kind of a no show points wise, which is unfortunate. Though, it was really close... Half a minute faster, and I would be very, very happy. We need to make the most out of the remaining stages, meaning we've got to join the breakaways! |

I guess it was because they came from you specifically that they stung so much. I didn't expect you to be as happy about getting a spot higher in the PT rankings by me failing as in you performing. But it seemed that it didn't really matter, as long as you surpassed me - Which I feel pretty confident that you'll do regardless.
I must say, it's not that important to me whether I finish 3rd or 5th. I have a podium goal, but when it isn't a matter of winning or not it becomes less important. Especially since I have tried to win - like yourself.

I guess that's pretty much where Mottin should be, if he can hold on to 18th then that's okay. Shame Penko missed out on the top 50 by a few seconds.
Hopefully Boeckmans add a few pts in the last sprint stages.
