So close once again, but as Nordstrom needs the points, I'll allow it!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Getting sick of Kump now but as Ollfardh said big points for Nordstrom is cool. Frustrated about the gap decision, could have ended up being very handy for us but that’s PCM.

Kump! Close finish there. Really sad that there was no time cut since it would have helped Kump's GC aspirations to gain some time on Summerhill.
Thanks for all the congratulations, I really do need all the points I can get here considering that I have a hard time seeing how I will score any points for the rest of the season considering this is Kump's final start of the year!

oof. Congrats to Nordstrom, but no gaps here really is not good for us. Guess the stage design was just too frontloaded to do anything. Now tomorrow has to be selective, but not too cobbles selective, but still some selection from cobbles? I don't know, this complicates things, and we're still behind on time from the prologue.
I'm glad that JJ tried, but he really went at a stupid time all things considered. Either go on the hill itself and force selection, or wait until the end. He jumped to counter, but there was still way too much manpower behind. He's lucky he didn't crack too bad and it only cost us stage point.

Good thing is Paprtska and Van Lerberghe did not lose time on this stage. Hopefully, Stage 4 will suit us better.
Thanks for the report.

Woah, van Lergerberhergeghe! What a ride, huge result for Philips!
For us also a great stage, the group walked the tightrope between selective and not selective very well for our riders, and if we can do the same tomorrow then it'll be a brilliant haul from us. Have I ever mentioned I love Jams? Because I do

Now that's the Gaviria I want to see! I don't even care he lost that sprint, what a race from him. He'll definitely lose the yellow tomorrow, but I hope he can hold on to the green and some minor GC points.

Wow Bertie!! Incredible to stay with Summerhill and then keep Gaviria behind to take the win. On home ground too Didn't expect that really!
Not sure we can keep up in the next stage but this is already a big success from this race. Make it boring please Must mention Paprtska for the excellent work he did.
Thanks for the report Nemo

Kumpi losing the wheel is beyond sad, still third in the GC but if he stays with the group that is almost a guranteed second place at minimum on the stage. Still looking good in the GC but would have loved some more stage points! Thanks for the report!

Juul-Jensen doing a decent job at following the wheels, but so far there just hasn't been enough selection to give us any certainty of where he'll end up.
The good news is, we are near the top of the GC among the puncheurs who should in theory take time tomorrow, and we have a mountain advantage over almost everyone but Benoot too. Now, if only we can shake the sprinters for once. If the race is selective and JJ has a good day, we could be in for a really good result here. But that is obviously a very big if.
Congrats to Philips! Not great for us rankings wise for them to win, but sending a cobbles leader paid off for sure.

Seems like I made a little mistake copy-pasting U25 results. Obviously the results in the picture are correct and I'll make sure it is corrected later today

Cracking only in the last 100 meters, I didn't expect that! It seems that the early splits were in our advantage, as there were no domestiques left to make the race hard. I'm sure there was a lot of wheelsucking involved as well, but well, if no one important attacks, he doesn't have to chase.
