Frustrating to lose yellow like that on a stage that seemed made to pass it to Houle or at the least keep it for Debesay, but Borges was always going to be such a threat with his bonuses yesterday, and is a rider I really like so not surprised or too angry I guess Good to see we're still really up for it here with our main trio in the action again. Hope we can keep a leash on it tomorrow and then cut our losses in the following two days to set up some good GC placings.

Aggressive start from us and didn't expect Seibeb/Ssabagwanya to still be around in the top 20. Unfortunately they may struggle in the TTT.
Sending JvH instead of a TTer was a blunder on my part. I initially had a TTer, but for some reason believed there was a flat stage or two and subbed him out.

Well, that was a perfect example of how NOT to do it. Those short final inclines are not Moscon's speciality anyway - the longer the hills the better for him - and I guess Thièry just exhausted him too early. So instead of trying a very rare breakaway attempt, we do most of the work for absolutely nothing. Just one scoring result in three stages is not really enough - but it's of course compensated by yesterday's win.
Now, let's try to be just as active tomorrow and lose way time than expected!
Congrats to Borges, with that TTT setup he might even have a chance to keep yellow, and who knows what he could do on stage 5 with the jersey bonus...
Thanks for the report, Nemo, but please tell my guys to do a bit less work for the others...

Another pretty good stage for Juul-Jensen, but no time gaps at all. He seemed to be in poor position behind some domestiques going into the sprint, and didn't have the kick to overtake. Sulvaran was still in the group, so it would have been nice if he had helped a bit. Anyway, we get a couple more stage points, but that's about it. No offense to Glanbia, but it hurt a bit to see Haas, who was fairly anonymous for us, beat his former leader to that top 5.
The race is about to be blown apart in the TTT, and not in our favor. 6 guys vs every other team having 8 will not be good for a TTT that is both long and lumpy. Hopefully JJ will account for his time loss by being more aggressive in the final two stages.
Congrats to Gustav!
Edit: I should mention, it was nice to see Kamna in the break the last couple of days! Maybe he could come over and do the TTT with us.

Man, Borges is stealing the show here! What a race.
Not sure what to expect from the next stage. While we have a solid setup of TTists, Borges himself is rather weak. Hopefully he can keep up with the rest of them.
Thanks for another great report Nemo!

The Konig/Robov combo has leapfrogged into the Top 5 with a shot of Top 3 - all they have to do is to hang on and not mess it up.

Start slow, finish fast
Good stage, now Claeys has to hold on to the top ten.

Finally a good TTT this year, nice to see
I'd say the position is within the expected range (10th in the preview, 7th actual outcome), but the time difference is of course much, much better than expected. I don't really understand why everything is much closer than last year (where we would have taken 3rd with those 37 seconds), but we'll definitely take it!
Moscon now is basically a stage win's bonus seconds off the podium - meaning that pretty much everything is possible tomorrow! Buchmann should be out of reach, and depending on the optimal Mo/Hi combo some others might be stronger as well, but basically Moscon's energy stat combo (Sta, Res, Rec) should be perfect for that stage.
I'm also hoping to see Mäder in a breakaway, as he often did surprisingly well in similar stages - but I guess Moscon will be among the stage favorites again, so no breakaway for us.
Congrats to Duolingo for yet another stage win - massive race for you! Let's see if the yellow jersey gives Borges enough of a boost to hang on tomorrow.
And thanks for the report once again, Nemo - good job

I expected to be pretty bad, but wow, that was really bad. Climbing completely butchered us here, even more than I expected. You can see it in all the results, not just mine. There's not much I really could really do about that though with my team construction. I could have sent Warbasse or Eg here and a lot better, but they already had full race plans and would have just confused leadership with JJ. Since I don't have a bunch of lesser domestique stage racers lying around, this was the result.
Disappointing that there haven't been any time gaps in the hills, so this is probably going to be what defines the GC despite JJ doing pretty well in his own right. 19th now and little hope to gain much time if any on those ahead of us.
I can only hope that he's aggressive now that he's completely out of the GC. Passive JJ is no fun. Let's see him go early and often and try to get us a stage.

Wow, if there was one stage where I thought Claeys would lose it is this one, but instead he enters the GC top five! This is actually turning into a very good race for us.
Thanks Nemolito, congrats Project:Africa!

I was a bit disappointed after the TTT yesterday, but I wasn't too surprised given we don't have climbing depth. I'm definitely surprised after today! The icing on the cake is that the stage start/finish (Knysna) is about 40km from my hometown. By far my favourite stage win!
Seibeb's mountain stat coming in handy and Ssabagwanya definitely counted on really strong back up stats.
Two riders in the top 10 and a stage win. Thrilled!

Great win for Seibeb! Xero with some strange tactics though.
