Another really positive note is the 3rd place in the KoM for Giannoutsos. 7th in the U25 is a decent result, too. And the team finishing only 40" down in the team standings is really nice - for once, climbing depth paid out pretty well.
However, we really just have a good team depth result, but not a single Top 10 stage result. As jph already mentioned, the race definitely needs to be reworked - those mountain bunch sprints are nowhere close to attractive racing (and to reality, tbh). I'd really have hoped for some attacks up the final climbs, but no.
Thanks anyway to jph for another set of solid reports, despite really boring racing. And congrats to Nibali for a pretty insane season with constant overperformances. Can't really explain, and hurts pretty much to finally not have placed a bid on him, but well... I still prefer the oldies winning to youngsters crushing every race
Fairly decent race - 5th and 6th for Pana and Battaglin. And that's pretty much wraps up our season - there's still the Zuri Metzgete, but I don't expect anything there TBH
Obviously not the most exhilarating race from a neutrals perspective but it’s another GC win for Nibbles
Looks like he struggled there in the finale which is odd because Borisavljevic finished 7th on the stage...? Bringing a strong TTT squad was obviously a great call here and then he did what he needed to on the mountains stages.

3rd place in a C2 race is appreciated giving us points we desperately needed, shame about the rather dull racing - certainly something that needs a look at.
