Holy shit cunego, what a report, had my heart pumping (though that may have to do with having two riders from two teams competing at the front)! Wow
Obviously gutted with the final 100m, really thought Houle was going to pull it off and to crack like that is awful. But congrats to cycleYorkshire, Bellis is a great rider and showed it today with a smart race. Really happy with how Houle raced and 2nd is a good enough result on paper, seems reductive to call him and Rowe sprinters at all at this point since they never wait for a sprint
And lastly: MIRAC KAL What a rider, what a ride, and can I claim the best result of a amateur and main team in one race to date? Unbelievable stuff from him, love it! And real proof of our sportsmanship that he didn't help Houle win I guess
Thanks again cunego, really really love a juicy long report when the race deserves and it certainly did

Splendid report, thanks so much.
As this was hard to predict 4th is very fine, especially because it was Patrick Naud.

Sometimes I just don't get this game, my 50MO guy is the one to survive this carnage? Should've brought Gaviria or Cerny here of course, but now we know that for next year.
Congrats to Cycleyorkshire and thanks for an entertaining report!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

What a terrific race and report! Bellis is out having an absolute monster season for his caliber, my prediction of Houle in this race was just 50 meters off from being right. Will mark this down, it will consistently be one of the best races to watch going forward with this profile, similar in regards to MSR that it really could be open to almost anyone.

He was skipped over in free agency, skipped over in the CT draft and skipped over in the amateur team signings until we picked him up as the dead last rider to get a contract for this season. The Man, The Miracle, The Mirac Kal!
Great to see him pick up a podium here and very cool top ten finishers throughout.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

BELLISIMO!!!
What a race I must say, thought it would go down like this but expected to lose out to Houle in the end but those final 100m!
Another good win adds to our pretty decent season so far, everything has turned around pretty quickly I must say!

Thanks for a great report - congrats to Bellis and cycleYorkshire
I think the PCM 18 sprint AI is at its best in races like this where the pack splitting and a competition between sprinters and attackers make sense.
Problem is it tends to turn perfectly routine sprint stages into these kind of blood baths and even if the attackers don't win the sprint is ragged and random.
Would like to have seen Holloway go with Degenkolb but he has played it perfectly most times this seasons so can't complain. And the team isn't strong enough but no teams were strong enough in this case.

Well done to the Tykes and what a great report to an exciting race.
Not sure what to think of Cavs 13th place, could have been better or worse.
Interesting course, needs a different team selection next year I think.

Terrible result. I guess the weak sprinters like Ciolek couldn't handle all that climbing. At least Mezgec scored 3 pts which is better than nothing, but still pretty bad from a team perspective.
Congrats to Ryant and thanks to Cunego for the report
