Hopefully you won`t get too many 7-day streaks for the sake of us others.
Looking forward to your new team. Using Duolingo myself but never heard about the memes neither actually. |

@Atlantius: Yeah something like that.
@Marco: Maybe we can do some villainy in the PCT together!
@Booker: Voilá!
@jandal7: He may have some other parties to poop at!
@hillis: Thanks. Try it!
@Heine: It's an app for learning. If anything I'd say I'm the one getting older!
@roturn: Sechs tage auf einmal sind genug!
So, after the Duolingo takeover we set our minds on preparing the squad for the next season. Two things became clear from the get go:
1. the team will set its headquarters in Switzerland, because it is a multilingual nation (and we can evade taxes)
2. we will seek a more international looking squad who will try to showcase the diversity of courses available on the app.
During the off-season riders were instructed to learn Esperanto, which has become the team's new language. However a number of them failed to do so and have become free agents. Those are: Tiago Machado, Antonio Carvalho, Bruno Silva, Christian Egidio, Lluis Mas, Manuel Betilson, Andre Looij, Hugo Nunes, Paul Junior Maroga and Reda Aadel. We thank them for their services and hope they find a new team next season.
Everyone else has been renewed. However, Master Duo has shown his discontent with the slow progress of some of the riders on the team. Because of that the following riders could be looking for a new outfit in the coming transfer season:
Dimitri Claeys
Key stats: HIL 83
Beñat Intxausti
Key stats: MON 81 TT 76
Rui Pedro Vinhas
Key stats: MON 79
We also take the opportunity to present our jersey. It's kind of amateurish, we know. It sort of looks as if it was designed by an owl

I like your jersey! Green is kinda underappreciated in the MG so it's nice to see that the peloton will see some of that colour as well

That's harsh on us I'm interested in how the project develops. We traditionally don't clash in transfers, and I can see that continuing.

Despite some harsh words written this team seems to have a fun like vibe to it. Maybe our transfer paths cross again this season, if so I hope they go as good as last time.
Looking forward to racing on the same roads. Good luck

Thanks, matt, Croatia and red! Green is the new lime green
Duolingo doesn't have many slavic languages but if a deal comes may we all benefit from that.
Indeed red. Your collaboration with Oliveira's development was much appreciated. I hope transfers treat you well. Good luck!

Duolingo has granted the services of 4 national champions for the 2019 season. As such we sought to wear them with fitting kits. Here they are:
We hope to see them shine in their national colours.

Hehe thanks!
Can I get a cameo from Herklotz in Duolingo's colours for the NCs?

[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/BNyabeLh.png[/img-l]
Bruno Borges | Antonio Barbio | Rafael Reis | Ivo Oliveira | Oscar Avelino | Rui Oliveira | Frederico Figueiredo | Rodrigo Nascimento |
The portuguese contingent continues to be the largest in the squad with Borges, Avelino, Reis, Figueiredo, Barbio, Nascimento and the Oliveira twins has profficient speakers. The first three will remain as leaders, with Borges stepping up in his hill department as the team figurehead.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zakkari Dempster | Shane Archbold | Choon Huat Goh |
Archbold and Dempster were two obvious reinforcements in the battle against the clock. They are both aging but we'll certainly put them to good use. As to Goh, he comes in as a very useful lieutenant in the hills. We're not entirely sure he speaks english. But then if he doesn't it's a good thing he's in a language teaching team!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/EOBaHDV.png[/img-l]
Dominique Cornu | Tim Merlier | David Veilleux |
Cornu is just another aging TTist. Merlier is a cobbles sprinter whom we'll give no use. Veilleux is yet another aging rider who can only excel in breakaways, which he will probably fail to be a part of. Also we're not sure any of them can actually speak proper french, so there's that as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/rTilI6vh.png[/img-l]
Nicola Bagioli | Edoardo Affini |
A couple of youngsters will be delivering pizzas and carbonaras to the rest of the squad. Affini having been brought on a loan deal with Bagioli coming in as a future explosive puncheur.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/6SjEn6ih.png[/img-l]
Walter Trillini | Fabio Duarte |
Trillini seems to be the sort of breakaway rider we want to fill our ranks with, while the colombian legend will hopefully become the new party-pooper.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/q4j6fTuh.png[/img-l]
Yuri Trofimov | Nikita Razumov |
The phasing-out Trofimov still holds a very respectable set of skills, which will see him co-lead races with Borges. Razumov, though, comes in as a TT talent.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/UPIllLIh.png[/img-l]
Georgious Bouglas
Bouglas is the greek representative in our roster. Brought with the intent of teaching Avelino how to climb Mount Olympus, he will likely enjoy his own chances in specific races.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/07SSNPdh.png[/img-l]
Markus Kopfauf
Our sole german speaker will, unlike his fellow germanophile friends, have to endure long work-day shifts, with plenty of domestique chores coming his way. In the future though we hope this fetiche acquisition lands a few prologue victories
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/dlqIbD1h.png[/img-l]
Yoshimitshu Hiratsuka
Hiratsuka is the sort of signing we were looking after since day one. Having him on board will definitely incite some cycling-related anime and spur media interest for both bicycle stuff and of course language learning skills. We also hope he can be a good lieutenant to our puncheurs and climbers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[img-l]https://i.imgur.com/mg57RQjh.png[/img-l]
Libin Chen
The lone mandarin speaker in the team will surprisingly see him lead a few events as well as helping Avelino, so we hope the chinese champion jersey to have some air-time. But don't worry he'll stay out o Hong Kong.

Really clever team presentation. Quite a few riders I had my eye on, like Bagioli and of course Duarte. I do believe Veilleux speaks french btw, or atleast Canadian french, which may be why you said "proper french" as I've heard they differ.
