The funny thing is I think I've been in 90% of the leagues over the last few years and have not scored a single point towards the rankings once.
But I was 3rd in the world in Dauphine 2014, never forget!
I'm guessing Talansky's only ever career highlight coming with yours was no coincidence
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Come on then. Less than 24 hours to go until the deadline at 1AM tonight (CET).
Looks like there are 29 entrants so far. Lets get a few more for the first race of the season.
Good luck all.

Trying to pick a team with no prior form to go on and no real clue as to who will be taking it seriously.
The Classic didn't really help seeing as everyone apart from Ewan and Sagan crashed. Any word on any riders being injured in the crash?
Probably my best chance of scoring some good points as it makes it a bit of a lucky dip

I know I'm already in too deep when I'm going frame by frame to see rider numbers to help establish where sprinters were positioned before the crash in the Classic to gauge who is and isn't on form.

Thanks for setting this up again, ringo.
I'm hoping for a better, more even season for my own teams compared to last year. 2018 was too much of a rollercoaster and I even missed a race pretty early on, which didn't help my case. I kind of lost some motivation after that.
Let's just say that after finishing second to IanRussell for 2 years straight, my idea of rocking the boat wasn't to get bumped off the podium to 4th.
Anyway, looking at the results from today's stage in TDU, it looks like I'm off to a good start at least. Let's hope it continues.

Darn it, had Bevin in my team at a point, seems like a lot of managers do have him. He's in a good position for the GC now. Still, a lot can happen |

Oh look, if it ain’t my old nemesis, Paddy Bevin always scoring precious points when he’s not in my team. |

I've taken up my usual position of 26th in the standings
While i have Ewan and Viviani for the flat stages, my team is counting on Woods, Mccarthy, Ullissi and Poels in the final GC standings.

Ewan not as strong as I had hoped really. At least Viviani is giving points, looking good on the real flat stages.
Impey was a pick I had hoped to grab more bonus seconds so far, obviously should have gone for Bevin instead.
Though Porte, McCarthy, Slagter I think don`t make a bad trio neither. McCarthy though also not in the bonus second mix yet. |

Three stages in to the new season and I'm already getting that horrible sinking feeling

Painful. So many wrong decisions. Can we finish TDU already, I never learn to pick the best riders. |

...and in a major twist of events, I finish 6th. After spending most of the race down in the dumps. Willunga Hill teams making the difference, I guess.
Results are in, congrats to LordDiLego for his opening win. Both Ian Russell and ember with a shy start, it seems, though Ian spent great part of the week inside the top-5/10. George is going to make an update to the site, so news regarding the rest of the season will emerge sometime late next month! |

Congratulations, Lord di Lego!
For my own team, Bevin crashing out of contention was obviously unfortunate, but then there was also the Aussies that went missing. I've always gone with a heavy Aussie team here, but this time I picked the wrong riders to gamble on, as both McCarthy and Haas were poor, at least Velogames wise. Impey + a 6 pointer would have been the way to go. Leaving Viviani out is also another mistake, especially when it was made to make room for Ewan
Fun to be rolling, at least! |
