The other two major sprint train, Valio and Fablok, have massively failed because of blocks,
Well of course. When we finally make a good train and our main leadout man is in good shape as the final sprint pictures showed our opponents make sure to ruin it by playing dirty...
Nevertheless I'll be content with 7th from Lo Cicero even though I had hoped for slightly more especially seeing the setup. Solid go from Manninen taking 14th in the end even though it hurts seeing him fade that much in the last few 100 meters.
A few more depth points would have been nice as well, but I'll take the positive and hope it means a turning point that we perform against PT competition.

Yep, we'll relegate. I screwed up.
Thanks Aquarius for the report, congrats SotD!

If Hatanaka had pulled off 2nd there that would have been an amazing result. In the end the sprint teams timed it just right, but I had hopes that Hatanaka would hold them off. Ah well.

Fine work by the Kraftwerk train, timed the catch just right and put Cav in a great position. Looks like he went a tad early but hung on well for a better than expected podium finish.
Congrats to SotD and thanks for a great report Aquarius.

Festina again Good answer on Vesely's stage-win at the TdS!
A great sprint from Goss. At least some good news after Morton's terrible TTT output.. Congrats, Eden. Goss doing pretty fine this year - opposing to Burghardt, he's been a good transfer, I guess
He's been super! Hasn't taken many wins but always on the podium. His positioning is always pretty good too which I tend to credit Ji for. And Hamilton actually has a knack riding in breaks too. So thanks
And congrats to Festina, once Coquard hit the front there really was really nobody capable of overtaking him. Goss in 2nd yet again, but given it's a PTHC classic all is forgiven
Thanks for the report!

I cheered on the Reimer attack
Good win for Coquard and Festina, helps in the battle to catch Moser

That was most surprising! And what a nice way to wake up after having been up most of the night with an ill kiddo...
Very unforseen and key result for us here, and it seems evident that training Coquard was a good move in this off season. It will be interesting to see whether or not it will be as clever to further train him. He will lose all of the U25 points next season, so we need him to improve to keep up his score.
After Moser killing the first stage of the Tour of Switzerland this was a very important win to maybe level out the overall deficit from the three races.

this race ended up running better than expected, especially after Silvestre did not give any sign of life in the preparation of the final sprint. 6th is a great place considering all the sprinters present and are necessary points to make us recover from a horrible last month.
Congrats sotd for the win and thanks for the great report

Not much to say here.
Good it was PTHC only as 12th in a sprinter classic with Swift is nothing that I hope to be seen very often.
Big win by Coquard. Often close but here winning is good for Festina. |
