Is it just your approach or do those values smell like a lot of unhappy riders?

It's a combination of a cautious approach and the fact that Skujins, Siskevicius, Smirnovs and Vosekalns are all maxed now with much higher AVG than previously.

Indeed, it all looks rather reasonable in the big picture.
I do feel you regarding the cautious approach, as you can see with my riders..this year it had a weird vibe to it.

That's not top bad now is it?
600K is more than I would pay for Skujins and Smirnovs is over the top too I think. But everyone else are fine I think. Stoltz for 50K is ridiculous!
I would also be very harpy with Van Stayen and Dzamastagic.
Not bad!

To clarify, I didn't think the wages were over the top, just the fact that they don't end in 0 or 5 which has become the standard. I'd never do that unless it was to match the asked wage.

Yeah, I'm quite happy. Skujins was a slight screw-up. Was waaaayyyy too cautious for him after my training last year. Smirnovs, i hoped to get a bit cheaper but his request was still way higher. Likely would have been possible to go lower but what isnt obvious when looking at him again you'll notice that his AVG is higher as you would expect for a 77HI guy because of his awesome backup stats (78ACC, 78FIG, 72SP).
I'd say: Dzamastagic is awesome, Van Stayen good and Stoltz is of course awesome as well. Although with an OVR of <69 the wage could be expected somehow

Nice wages for likes of Van Beasten or Dzagamastic really, but then again some hefty (but fair) wages paid to your iconic Baltic guys. Good luck during the transfer madness mate!

Every rider is available for the right prize but some will demand way over market prizes. However, this is the initial availability planning. It depends a lot on whether we can sign our #1 target and can therefore change quite a bit quickly.
We like to discuss transfers a lot so please drop us a message as soon as allowed even if you only have vague interest in one of the riders. Thanks in advance.

Looks like someone is aiming big in the FA frenzy! Van Avermaet "likely" to transfer will for sure see some exciting and hectic activities for you in the transfer season
Looking forward to see how you do and how far you will go in the battle to sign your #1 target! |

Latvia wouldn't the first choice for many, if any, managers to go with their team direction, but off course you've made it work. All the best for the new season and I'm sure a couple of bombshells await us in the transfer market!

ember - Maybe likely is a bit too optimistic but I like to change things up and GVA is the leader that is the most likely to go so I'm certainly entertaining offers. Will he go in the end? Honestly, no idea.
Abishek - Latvia wasn't my first choice either. At first i just thought it would be an interest minor focus for a German team as a few interesting targets were available. The German market was difficult and I decided to move to Latvia later after Saramotins had an awesome season and I got a great talent in Vosekalns already (also Bekmanis but he's a bit weaker)
Thanks a lot!

And i just posted this in the old HQ
knockout wrote:
Continuing the talent focus
When the team was founded a key philosophie was to develop talents into riders ready to compete with the bests. This approach has worked very well with many former talents riding in important roles for us and we will continue this strategy by presenting our two newest members of the team:
| Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | Sta | Res | Rec | Cob | Sp | Acc | Fi | Dh | Pl | Lvl | 2017 | 68 | 73 | 74 | 58 | 69 | 72 | 72 | 58 | 58 | 68 | 74 | 66 | 58 | 4.00 | 2018 | 68 | 75 | 76 | 58 | 69 | 73 | 73 | 58 | 58 | 70 | 76 | 66 | 58 | 4.100 |
We're glad to welcome the next good Latvian climber into our team. He'll be an important domestique for Toms Skujins in the hills while also getting his chance to make his GT debut. A year racing against the world's best cyclists will surely help his development into a better rider!
He signed a minimum contract of 50 000€.

*our currently preferred development but no final decision made
Miguel Angel Lopez is our star signing this season. He is one of the most versatile climbers and puncheurs of all neopros and he has all the potential in the world to win it all. We are very excited to follow his development for years to come and he will surely be an important part of any future Evonik success.
He signed a 510,000 € contract.

A very good focus region signing in Sergis who should already be an important part of your mountain train. And what can I say about MAL that hasn't already been said! The future is bright at Evonik-Elko
