imo Aru will podium, he looks to be in some really fine form alongside Fulsang who maybe won't have the legs for a GT but will make a fearsome duo nevertheless.

I'm really looking forward to a couple battles this tour, the White Jersey between Buchmann, Meintjies and Yates should be a pretty great contest. Also the points Jersey, of course Sagan is the favourite, but what if Gilbert decides to ride for green? If somebody can beat Sagan, he can and that would be a spectacular race.

That ain't gonna happen. Phil's here to win a stage or two. Actually there's so many flat stages this year I think Kittel might get 5 or 6 given poor form of other top sprinters and Sagan is not fast enough to threaten Kittel on a pancake flat stage.
What I'm looking forward most is Movistar internal games between Valv and Quintana. Watch Valv gap Quintana for about 30 secs in some echelons or explosive stages and then hold the team hostage to it and rightly so because Quintana is not winning Tour de France after riding Giro. That's not happening. Actually this is Valverde's best chance given the course this year. |

Currently no rain but there was quite a downpour this morning
and it might rain again later on.
The "descends" off of the 2 Rhine bridges could be tricky in wet conditions.
Couple of years back at some triathlon lots of riders crashed out there in rainy conditions. |
