It's all about incentives. You've got to give them a reason to ride well. For example, i give them Mila Kunis
And many others

Drapac losing the jersey, well he wouldn't have hung on after the hilly stage and the TT anyway. Focus now on winning stage 3.

Another flat stage survived
Now I've just got to hope we can make the hilly stage selective. I'm not that confident though as I'm fearing an Almaty like stage. Depending on which way it goes I could be looking at a GC podium or fighting for a top 10.

Day started out well with another of our youngsters in the break, and even secured himself the KoM jersey for a day. Guessing that nominal team leader Flavio de Luna must have crashed as can't see how all of the rest of the squad would be completely tailed off in a relatively easy stage. Means any faint GC hopes we had for de Luna and Puerta Zapata to challenge for top 10/15 if it had all come down to the final TT now go up in smoke. Therefore need to keep getting in the BoTD to try and salvage something; this race could now be quite a ppRD disaster for WCC .

Excellent job there by Zoidl. Being that close with a TT yet to come.
Also Chiquita scoring nicely in their promotion campagne.
Huge attempt though by Yatsevich. Not only reducing his loss but also attacking! Big favourite now alongside Zoidl. 45s is basically not a lot on 30km TT. 4 difference in TT stat could go in both directions. |

hmmm a top5 looks almost secured by now, but given the strength the team showed the result really hurts...
Chiquita gets a stunning amount of points in races where they shouldn't do that well, impressive stuff. Congrats!
Stannard, Flens, Sebright, Joeaar, Renäng, de Luna distanced is a very good sign, Kasa loosing time though is beyond my understanding.
Tennant with Yatsevich and Christian now having to make up more time than hoped for. Zoidl the clear favourite now, he has quite a sweet time gap in favour of him to the other big ones. Kinney, Gunman and Reijnen though all more than decent TTists, they could hurt Tennant's campaign a lot here. But how did especially Reijnen gain time here???

Great racing in Denmark and nice to read from a neutral pov.
Nice reports matt and I am expecting Spark to take the GC with Yatsevich well placed.

We probably needed a little bit more time over Yatsevich for the GC win, I was hoping for a minute and a half for that, but the racing went really well for us and Zoidl gaining time on his rivals is magnificent.
I don't mind that he missed out on the stage win as it now looks likely that he will be able to secure a GC podium thanks to that attack.

Impressive work by Yatsevich, now we just need that victory on the final timetrial to secure a hv win.

Drapac lost the points jersey which is a shame. Looking forward to see which position Kinney can claim in the GC, he's not the worst time trialist but top-5 will be hard.

Congrats to bwiggins on the GC win, Zoidl pushed it close but couldn't quite hang on in the TT and will have to "settle for 2nd."
To be so close to the GC win is a little disappointing but I'm still thrilled with the team's and Zoidl's performance here.
If you had said before the race we'd finish 2nd on GC and 2nd on a stage I'd have gladly taken it and I can be proud of the way Zoidl raced, and the way the whole team set up the hilly stage to be selective which is a big part of how Zoidl got this result for us.
EDIT: oops, almost forgot to thank Matt for the reports, that TT one is amazing and really kept the tension going until the last couple of riders crossed the finish line.

Sixth place for Kinney in the end. Satisfactory given he can't really TT. Maybe if I send Griffith here he could've challenged maybe. Unsure why he wasn't here tbh. Congrats to Spark on the victory and thanks matt for the reports.

Great final report matt - congrats to bwiggins on the victory and GC win.
Glad I did not come here given the course and lack of a TT rider for that final stage.

well the minimum goal is achieved, though we won't celebrate that podium and overall performance here...
thanks Matt for the fantastic thrilling final report!
