That's a good idea indeed. I misread your first post in here. I thought you meant whether you were allowed to apply paint-overs from your own designs.
Of course plagiarism won't be allowed and will result in a ban from the contest for one or more months.

Plagiarism: what’s allowed and what’s not allowed?
The final note for the announcement is a serious warning. To put it short: it’s not allowed to use, edit or change graphics made by other designers. Even when you mention them in your credits, it’s not allowed to enter the contest with these graphics.
If you do try to enter the contest with (parts of) graphics made by others, there will be consequences. Depending on how much you’ve copied over and how many times you’ve tried, you’ll get banned from the contest for one month to life. We’ll keep close contact with the key graphics designers of the different communities to make sure that everything in the contest is authentic.
That leaves us only one thing: wishing you guys good luck in the contest. May the best designs win!

Pilot: Jersey contest May '16
Today, we'll start with a pilot of a week (17th - 24th of May) with a jersey contest. For this contest you don't need to create an entire jerseypack, but just the main jersey. There won't be an equipment round for the pilot.
The pilot will serve as a check for us, to see if everything works like it's supposed to. Any problems that occur won't influence the results of the pilot, but will be solved before we start with the regular contest in June.
The thread for the pilot will be up in about half an hour.

I think it would be a good idea for the future tu suspend the contest for example in the winter when most of us are focused on real shirts and there's no production of fantasy shirts.

I have decided not to participate in these contests because the admin, haasje33, deleted one of my posts in last month's thread in which I reported the ingame mistakes Cavendish-Fan's shirt (which was the winner in the end). The post wasn't intended to be offensive, as it isn't this one.

The organizers of this contest (the_hoyle and myself) won't tolerate criticising posts about contest applications, since that's not fair and it could influence the outcome of the contest.
