I have finished my own personal database combining two other databases (PCM Daily v1.5 and OfficialreleaseVraisNoms v1.1)
I have also added a few stages that have been created and aren't in there aswell as some extra fictional teams using riders that are free agents. I will NOT be publishing it as it doesn't contain anything not already available (fictional teams are created using the extra jerseys from daily database)

I have a problem. I have loaded my gpx file and the terrain loads fine and also the route. Creating the bodies of water is the problem though. After finding out that creating smaller bodies at a time eliminates massive chasms occuring with no water, I have tried doing that. Works good but the problem is that the big lake I am trying to fill in has 4 smaller sections to it so far all of varying heights. The individual points are all on the same level so it shouldn't be a problem but if you zoom down and look at them as a cross-section you can see they are staggered. Any help to solve this would be appreciated, otherwise this whole project will have to be abandoned and I will give up trying to make stages.

Going to have to abandon this project it seems. I can't play the game at all unless I do a clean install and use only the official release DB. Patching, any extra stages, graphics or databases make even the official release database fail with the game crashing before even starting career, pro cyclist or one off race.

That may indicate you're doing a wrong installation/copying of whatever you're doing. Are you sure you're installing everything in the correct lcoation?

Everything was working fine until 2 days ago. All happened after creating the basics for one of the stages and then moving it to the stages folder. Did however remove some cdx files of races that I had zces and cds files for, but surely that isn't the problem.

If you want to help out and create some amazing races then send me a PM with which races and stages you want to help with and I will provide the links.
Voting at this stage is Bavarian Alps and Wisconsin on 7 votes, Sweden and Sthn Flinders on 6, Ukraine on 5, with Kaliningrad on 1 vote.
Flinders is where I would be most help having lived there for 2 years a while ago. Everything else I am relying on google maps.

I have made a start on the Bavarian Alps. I have not done any graphical elements as yet, only the roads, route and sprint points. Stage is playable but I will not upload until I have added buildings, scenery, rivers etc.
Here is the profile:
1st climb - to the town of Reubel - Cat 1 -8.8km @ 6%
2nd climb - Hochschwarzbeck - Cat 2 - 6.4km @6.1%
3rd climb - Roßfeld - Cat HC - 13.1km @ 7.8%
Final - Gaisberg - Cat HC - 13.1km @ 6.2%
EDIT: In a one off race, not all the best riders took part for most teams. Only 9 riders finished within 10 minutes of the leader. Orica had a 1-2 finish with Adam Yates beating Simon Yates, Trofimov finish 3rd. There was no Contador, Froome, Quintana, Nibali etc. Basically the main GC riders for all teams

Your profile looks very ragged from the image. For better gameplay, I would advise you to use CTRL+M to smoothen it. The way to use it is to select (by holding CTRL you can select more than one object) two road points, between which you want to make the gradient constant. After pressing CTRL+M the gradient between these two road point will be even. It is one of the easiest ways for making more realistic gradients. Most of the time it is not the best idea to make the gradient constant on too long sections, so first I would try selecting road points not too far from each other.

As I said, it was just the first run. I have everything else still to do. Just wanted to give everyone an idea but thanks for your input. Will be a long way before I get to your standard though

Any got ideas on what time gaps should be? I am not talking about individual stages but profile type. e.g flat, hill, mountain. Also what to select for uphill sprints etc. or should I just leave them at -1 and let the game determine it.

Leave them at -1 and automatic and see what the game chooses using Debug->Show stage data. If you don't like it then change it. I generally leave uphill sprint and gene_f_mountain on -1 and put time gap lower than the default value. For MTF I use 4 or 7, for hilly stages with flat finish around 10 and for flat stages ca 14.

Thanks. Still need to sort out the water issue but the stage I am working on has gentle rolling hills. Have been smoothing out the gradients.

I have completed the basic routes now for a number of stages on each tour. Have even been smoothing out the roads a little bit to make the road more realistic without sudden roses and falls but more of a gradual climb and rolling terrain. Work is progressing very slowly due to work and other commitments. If anyone wants to complete the graphical elements of the stages and make this more of a collaborative effort then I am happy to take other stage makers on board for the whole project.
Just send me a PM with what tour you are wanting to work on and I will get the zcts files to you and links to the bikemap.net stage page so you can see where the route goes exactly to get the scenery matched up a lot better.

After the last couple of stages I have been working no longer want to load in the editor (final versions not loading, previous versions that were only half finished are fine) I have been left deflated in this overall project on creating stages. Hours of work wasted and I have no desire to try and do it again, because it will never turn out the same and I don't have a whole lot of time anyway with work any family commitments.
If anyone else wants to take over and finish any of these races off you may. I can provide links to my Megasync folder (routes completed) and also bikemap.net page (routes planned - just sign up and download gpx files). Just send me a message. I know Germano has already contacted me in regards to helping with the graphics anyway.
Anyone doing any of these stages can claim them as there own just credit me with planning the route.
Sorry for anyone hoping to see these races as much as I wanted to create and see them in game aswell.

I have finally got back to Creating stages again for these fantasy tours. Namibia (Yes, Namibia - 8 stages) is finished. Flinders has 3 different versions and each are almost finished. South Africa (14 days) has 4 versions (2 going clockwise, 2 anti-clockwise) and mostly finished. I managed to work out the water problem for the Vastsverige runt on Lake Vattern. Germany is half done and ukraine and wisconsin are only a couple of stages. I just need to test them all for playability. I have added some IB's here and there but for the most part the cities/towns are Auto. I also have not included all rivers and lakes but most forests and farms are there and have tried to do roads with similar texturing and markings though I didn't include every individual lane marking for overtaking etc. as how can be bothered being that pedantic to take notice.
