More Transfers and Loans
We at Löbauer Stadtwerke - Etixx are quite active on the transfer market.
Which means that there are some new riders who are just undergoing some medical tests and will then be ready to join our squad.
The first of those Names is Raymond Kreder . The dutch sprinter will join us from Spotify - Haglöfs. I hope that he can deliver some great sprints next season.
Also arriving in Löbau is Bart De Clercq . He will be our main climber for next season.
We were also successfull in signing a helper for Simon Geschke in Tom Thill .
And last but not least for now, we loaned in Erik Baska from Becherovka - Petrof. We are pretty happy with the deal and are looking forward to see him in our leadout train and in some breakaways over the season.
Stay tuned for more updates.

Thank you very much. So far, it's great fun. I don't know why I never wanted to join the MG.

The Team fills itself
We have some more transfer news. It's been quite an intense week. At some point, a sponsor wanted to step out, so we went to see a debt advisor. But luckily we got them back on track so everything is fine again.
Now onto our deals.
The first guy to join us is Michael Vanthourenhout . He will be a good helper in the cobbled races.
But who will be his leader in cobbled races, you may ask. Well, we managed to sign Nick Nuyens . He will lead our cobbled squad.
The third cobble rider for today is Maarten Wynants . He will be our co-captain in cobbled races.
But we also managed to loan in 2 more guys.
Hiroshi Tsubaki and Ignacio Jesus Prado are going to race for us next season. Hiroshi will help in the Mountains, while Ignacio will go into some breaks, hopefully.
That's it for now, but as always...stay tuned for more.

Oh wow look, my old cobbles captain and co-leader from our first PT stint reunited!
That's a nice surprise. I hope they can be more useful for you than they were for me back then, in what is most likely their last year I guess.

Good to see Etixx getting some signings for the pavé, it's (the company's) trademark.

Transfer finale
We had some very busy last days. We had moments of fear, anger and joy. Our squad for next season is now complete. We managed to sign some great riders during the last few days.
First of is Louis Vervaeke , who will help Bart de Clercq in the Mountains.
Then we signed Michael Vanderaerden , who will be our main sprinter for next season. We really count on him.
Now onto our talents.
We signed Tiesj Benoot , Ivan Centrone , Tom Schwarmes and Max Losch as a Stagiare.
We will release our full squad very very soon. So stay tuned.

We're back on track!
After just a quick walk to get ourselves some cigarettes, we're back at it again.
Here is our new squad, which will go on and make history in the following seasons.
Simon Geschke will clearly be our captain, being good on the hills, but also having a decent sprint on him.
Michael Vanderaerden will try to impress us in the totally flat stages, whilst Bart de Clercq will be there in the Mountains and stage races.
Overall, we're pretty happy with the transfer period. We've spend more money than we wanted, but overall we got most of the riders, we wanted. We hope, that this team will carry us right in the heavens and beyond. Actually, top 10 would be fine.
Stay tuned, we need more cigarettes.

We had a problem with our...ehm...radio transmission....our dog had eaten my reports...there was alot of wind and I was stung by a bee....ehm...nevermind, here we go. Better late than never.
Stage one of the ToME went really amazing for us. The first 1-2 of the season with De Clercq going for it and Geschke being the only one to contest the sprint. Geschke moved into the leaders jersey, which was really a proud moment for the team.
De Clercq leading out Geschke
Geschke getting the win and Bart making it a 1-2 for our team
Stage 2 had also a tough profile, so Geschke was one of the favourites. Thill and Prado opened a small gap under the 1km banner. It looked like a 1-2-3 for some time, but sadly it just shouldn't be, but Simon still got home the win, which will keep him in the leaders jersey. Thill still finished 10th.
Thill leading ahead of Prado and Geschke
"How do you like them apfels!"
Stage 3 had a bit of an easier profile. We sent Thill in the break to prevent us from working.
Thill just sitting in the break
Geschke though just comes home in P20, since nobody wanted to work for the win. If you can't beat 'em, ruin them, I guess. Geschke still goes in the Mountain stage with a nice lead. We really hoped that he could hold on.
Stage 4 really has a hard MTF at the end, which could ruin our game a bit.
However, despite nothing really happening over the stage, Geschke comes home in an amazing P23, but sadly over 4 Minutes down, which relegated him to 15th in the GC. Can He come back? Bart de Clercq finished in 13th place in this stage, which is alright, but we expected a Top10. He is 12th in the GC, so not too far off, whilst Garby leads the GC after an amazing performance on the Stage.
Stage 5. A relatively flat stage. Vanderaerden is our man for that, but he won't get a proper leadout-train, as all our riders need to rest a bit after yesterday.
There was a small break, which wasn't caught and Vanderaerden was in the middle of the sprinters. Sadly he had not the power or the form to contest for the win, but P4 is not too bad. We'll take that.
Vanderaerden trying to go for the gap
He couldn't make it, but we're still happy with his performance
Stage 6 is the stage, where problems start to happen. It was a pan-flat stage, so nothing really happened until the last KM. Vanderaerden mistimed his sprint and he finished 4th again. But that's not the important part. The important thing is, that Docker finishes 3rd and is only 1 point off Geschke who is still barely holding on to the points jersey. We really need to defend this.
Docker(green) is coming close to Geschkes Points-jersey
Stage 7 went really bad for us. We wanted to lead-out Geschke, but we forgot to tell him, so he was in the middle of the Peloton, when Michael Vanderaerden picked him up. Both finish outside of the Top 20, but Docker struggles as well with P7, whilst Nizzolo wins the sprint. He still leads the points competition by 8 Points now. Have we lost this one?
Stage 8 is a Mountain-Stage again, so we can sort ourselves. We sent Thill in the break and once again it's Docker to ruin the fun, as he chases the break down. Bart de Clercq comes home in 12th and with that moves up to 11th position, but almost a minute off 10th place. We tried everything. We even sent Vervaeke up the road to attack with 32KM to go, but we need to look for a different strategy.
Thill enjoying his time in the break
Docker(green) chasing it down
Vervaeke attacks
Another Mountain stage? Can this end already?! Please!
At least we sent Prado in the break. Sadly, the GC teams chased it down again.
Up the last climb, we notice a problem. Bart is missing. He's not with the top Contenders!
He finished 38th today. Even behind Vervaeke, who comes home in 22nd.
That's horrible, as it puts him in 21st overall, behind Vervaeke, who is 18th now.
The points jersey is now on the shoulders of David De la Cruz, who is 22 Points ahead of Geschke, who is now only 8th.
The next stage is again classified as a mountain stage. The Profile looks like this: _________/
We have put Prado in the break, which gets reeled in again. Nothing major happens. De Clercq finished 20th.
Prado working in the break
Stage 11. A Time-Trial. Well, we hoped for a Top 20. What did we get? 9th place by Tom Thill!!! Also Bart finishes in 14th, Vervaeke in 16th! That's amazing. Sadly again no pictures for this stage. They need to photograph our riders more.
Lets go! Stage 12. All jerseys are out of reach. Can we get a last stagewin?
We tried everything. Baska was in the break.
Baska tried his luck in the break
Since Erik isn't known as the best sprinter, he tried his luck with attacking the break with 7kms to go. Can he hold on, despite the break pulling hard?
Erik rolls the dice to try to win the stage
NO THEY CAN'T! Erik Baska brings home an amazing last win for our team. What an amazing day. Don't forget that he is a loanee, so to see this desperation to perform well is really great to see.
YES! He did it!

Off Season News + Transfer News
Another update? Is he sick? Maybe.
Let's just straight go to our transfers, or overall off-season news.
First of all, we're happy to announce, that all of our sponsors decided to stay around.
Big thanks to all the sponsors, which enable us to keep this team going, despite a bad first season.
So here we go. We start with the contract resignings. We resigned everyone bar Nick Nuyens and Maarten Wynants . We wish them the best in their future
We also loaned out Louis Verveake to Haute Route - Mavic. We hope, that he will mature even more in their PCT squad. See you in a year, Louis.
But who have we actually signed?
Well, we start with the biggest news. TONY FUCKING MARTIN! Sorry for the language. TONY MARTIN!
We welcome you to our team Tony. All the months i peed in my pants, when I thought about this singing have finally paid off!
Our road captain and TT leader Tony Martin
Next to him, we signed Gianni Meersman , who did actually well in PT and we hope that he can do the same in CT. He arrives in Löbau from another "german" team in the form of Evonik – ELKO. We hope that you will feel pretty good around all those belgians here.
Gianni is used to winning. We want to see more of that.
The next belgian signing is Gaëtan Bille . He came to us through the cross-deal with Haute Route - Mavic. He's a really great addition to our team and we hope to see him within our leadouts and maybe going for some stages.
He is also used to winning. Thanks for the deal.
And to end on a high again, our last signing is a pretty big one. We signed Cyclocross-legend Mathieu Van der Poel . He's still very young a rider and we hope that he will develop well within our squad. Maybe he can even show some of our riders, how to handle a bike properly. Welcome Mathieu!
VdP in his natural element

Wish you all the best. As if Geschke wasn't reason enough to hope that you can celebrate from time to time

Well, Geschke was still the main reason for celebrations. Main thing is that I need to update my HQ more often.

Congratulations on signing the chosen one. Just a shame VDPs stats are not the all around 85 he is destined to.
