This was always going to be a quiet race for us.
Congrats to Azteca for the triumph and let's all forget that cobbled races exist

Good result by Boonen. Pretty much what I could expect. Important to grab those points to keep the scoreboard ticking and use the races of my two leaders to gain some time on Aegon, Puma etc
I like the move by Flaksis. Eventhough, he was not successful it still is the right decision. Maybe a bit too early but still, good job.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

The signing and training of Summerhill has been a great move by Azteca - looks like it may well be enough to help them stay in PCT.

Nope, amount of cobbles is perfect. If there was a rider that literally won everything on any other terrain, he'd have way more points.
Strong result by Pozzato! 5th in a HC classic is a very nice amount of points. Also decent finishes by Veelers and Nuyens. I'm happy.

AMEX-Navigon wanted the win here, but Summerhill just cannot be defeated this season. AMEX's Jerome Baugnies gets 2nd, folloed by last years winner, Matti Breschel in 13th. Michael Kurth and Kenny De Haes finish in the early 20's.
In all it was a very good day, despite failing on a season win goal. AMEx banked 184 points.
Next up the 5 day sprint tour Post Danmark Rundt, where our whole sprint squad will be at the starting line.

I do!
And Summerhill has proven to be much better than expected. That 1.7M I put into his training has payed off terrifically.

Trentin was looking very good there for a while, but still a good result for him. Thanks for the report, jihardy.

Summerhill was a superb signing by Azteca and he is really cleaning things up. Unfortunately it has also made these races really predictable :/
A podium finish is all I can expect here and Stallaert in the top 10 is a nice little bonus as well.

A very hard race for our cobbles leader Nepomnyachsnyi due to his low hill stat, so him finishing 29th is okay, as he was probably to tired for a final sprint.. |
