Also, the calendar isn't finalised, so I'm open to suggestions for races, especially the TTT.

You're not a fan of Sky by any chance? you're in.
Really good start to this, 9 teams including mine. My goal is to get at least 18 and have a pretty full division (24 max) although 12 will be enough to start and I'll be happy enough with 14.

Nice, Really interesting that we haven't doubled up on any nationalities yet and even my planned team doesn't.
@Episode: Not going to open it to second teams unless I really need more players, but thanks for the offer.

I figure I might as well give as much time for people as possible to complete team creation so I'll open it now Remember that sign-ups are still open.
1. Download the excel file: https://www.media...c1z7y2jla8 and go to the Team Creation page on it.
2. Fill in your cell C1 with your team ID (found on that page), if you don't know it or haven't been given one then leave it blank.
3. Create Riders, only edit data in white cells, first name in column C, last name in column D, Age in column E and nationality in column F. Stats are filled in by each tens value, so for the 55 row, you can select a number up to 5, which will be added to 55, so if you want the stat for that column to equal 57 then put in a 2, but if you want it to equal 60 or more, put a 5 in, it is the same for the 60 column but up to 10. So add whatever number to 60 for what you want it to equal, 63 put in a 3, but if you want 70 or more, put in a 10, the 70 row is the same as 60 but with 70 and row 80 is the same as 50, with the maximum of 85 as a stat. The row above will update with the stat of the rider with those points put in.
Point costs are done based on which row as well, it costs 1 point for 55-60, 2 for 60-70, 3 for 70-80 and 4 for 80-85, you can see below each stat (in yellow) how many points you have spent on it and in the bottom right corner (column X) the total for the rider.
You have 5075 points to spend and you can see how many you have remaining in K1.
If you go to Current Squad page you can see your current squad as a whole.
Ignore the averages page.
There are also stat limits for young riders to stop them from becoming too good in the future. The minimum age is 20 and you cannot have more than 2 riders of the same age.
These are the maximum averages for each age:
Spoiler Age | Average | 20 | 68 | 21 | 70 | 22 | 72 | 23 | 74 | 24 | 75 | 25 | 77 | 26 | 78 | 27 | 80 | 28+ | 85 |
How to save time:
Assuming I haven't forgotten anything, you can make your team fine following those instructions, although it will take more time than some people have, so here are tips to save time:
Names: if you really can't think of names, you can leave them blank and I'll insert them based on nationality, it also may be helpful to check a cq ranking page or a football national teams things, etc. and combine names of people, just saying.
Stats: Stats are the most time consuming part, if you don't have enough time for all the domestiques, you can just write a speciality of: roleur, climber, stage racer, puncheur, fighter, time trialist, cobblist and sprinter and write the amount of points you want to dedicate to the rider next to the speciality, I will use formulas based on the speciality to put the stats in.
There is no deadline yet and remember sign-ups are still open! and feel free to ask any questions as this may sound very confusing.

Do I have to have 18 riders?
Edit:
Another question: Will I have a longterm disadvantage if I give many points to old riders, due to regression? I mean as a Spanish team that's kind of realistic with good old riders, but I'd leave it if that would mean I'll loose a lot of stats soon compared to other teams..
A suggestion: It might be better to weigh some stats different. At the moment getting 80 DH is as expensive as getting 80 MO. That way there surely will be a lot of unbalanced riders, maybe half(or even more) the costs of some stats compared to the main stats.

@MARS: Give me a few minute and. I'll try to explain it better.
@Bikex: Yes, you do.
EDIT: First question, it might, but with the current system I have planned you will be compensated for retiring riders, so it could be an advantage.
Second question, actually that's a really good idea, I'll upload a new file with it changed a little.

Ok, changed the file, downhill, fighter, resistance, stamina and recovery are half-price, but you have less points to spend.
Just let me know if there is a problem with the new file as I didn't test it as completely as I did the last, should be fine though.

Sorry about that, pretty good to have that many points left though, you can really improve your riders.

Better explanation on stats:
Make sure you read this while checking and testing with the file, it'll make more sense.
Look at the flat stat for the first rider, in the row with 55 in the A column, you can change the 0, the number you add it to will be added to the 55 just above, so keep it as 0 for 55 in the stat, as 1 for 56, 2 for 57, 3 for 58, 4 for 59 and 5 got 60 or more. If you put it as 5, then do the row below, 0 to keep the stat as 60, 1 for 61, 2 for 62, 3 for 63, 4 for 64, 5 for 65, 6 for 66, 7 for 67, 8 for 68, 9 for 69 and 10 for 70 or more. If you do 10, go to the next row and it works the same, for the bottom row, the maximum is 5 to have 85 as the stat.

Will this be the final file or should I anticipate more changes?
Rider ID seems to be odd as well, the 2nd rider of team 1 will have the same number as rider one of team 2.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

No more changes. Sorry again about that, I didn't think anybody would have started too much yet.
knew I made a mistake, the rider id was meant to have C1*10+1, C1*10+2, etc.
If people fix it in their own file it'll help, but if you don't then I'll do it, not worth a new file for.

Well, that would mean rider 11 of team 1 still has the same ID as tider 1 of team 2
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Where should I send ready file? It's your first version if it isn't a problem. |
