My hopes are on Sella. He is the only one of my team who doesn't keep disappointing me at every possible moment.
It's hard to look past Contador, so a podium would do for me. |

I won't be disapointed easily given our current run. I hope Nazaret can finish inside the top 10.
I see Contador taking this one. Just too many mountains.

Here it is: our win goal.
Yes, we are apprehensive, but I don't think there would be a different race with a different rider we would rather have than Contador in Guatemala for such a race. He has been phenomenal so for this season and all the omens are good for the win here.
Pleased to see some of the big mountain goats miss out though the likes of Brajkovic, Sella and Samwel will be a thorn in our side. Still Contador is the man to beat and we are feeling a +5 day coming up.
Take it home. |

No big favorite for me here, Quintana might be an outside shot for a top 10, so looking to put on of my other climbers into the breakaway, nobody on my team here is bad at climbing so I'm hoping for some sort of result.

Won't be at home until later today, so I will put the report online now/soon.
Tour of Japan later then, by the way

Someone just lost his chance on getting a new contract. Well done!
Kononenko strong as ever, training him so he'd become a breakaway guy is paying off here now, shame it couldn't last to the finish.

All riders about where they were expected more or less. No totally weird ones.
Contador with a huge fight obviously not due to puncture. But what a hunt to make a decent result at least.
ONCE with two in top6 with a huge relegation battle result. |

Nice to see Sella getting into the deciding attack, but a shame he finished last of the group of three. Congrats to ONCE they surely can need this victory. Feel sorry for Contador, seeing how he came back in the end he probably would've been up there with the top 3. Rodrigues doing his usual, being with the favourites in the first attacks but later dropping down a little. 15th is still great, though.
Thanks for another outstanding report tsmoha. |

26th and 29th, I think that makes it 10 points when I was expecting a 0 pointer so we can definitely be happy with that
Shame about Contador's puncture, the way he rode back through the groups so easily after it suggests he would have definitely been on the podium if not getting yet another win.

Really tough luck for Contador!
7th is about par for Berhane. Meets the minimum target of Top 10, pity he couldnt push for the Top 5, or at least beat Anton.

10th is pretty nice for Valverde, shame my other 77 climbers couldn't hit the points. Thanks tsmoha, you're really smashing them out atm.

Brajko, unbeaten in two competive stages in a row now, class!
Obviously a very needet result in the deep relegation battles as mentioned. This was a extremly comforting race with Anton doing perfect domestiqe work(wheelsucking) and outsprinting the group for 6 is a bonus which gives important points.
Huge shame with Conta, he looked very strong on his way back after the unfortunate puncture. Think it would have been a close one if it weren't for the crash.
Thanks for smashing the reports yet again tshoma!

Tough day for us, but not unexpected. Little disappointed that on these climbing days we aren't able to get into the breakaway at all. Tough break for Contador who has been on fire all season long.

Below par performance from Samwel but nothing like his performance in Kenya. At least there's some points to add to our total.
Congrats ONCE, and also feel sorry for Bonsucro missing out on their goal with a puncture. Thanks for reporting yet again tsmoha. |

Another 2nd place
I swear Rujano winning something overall is not happening. 12-16 is also great.
Thanks for the reports tsmoha. |

This had to happen here, didn't it. The one win goal. No chance he was ever going to make it back in after that.
The only way we were missing the podium were was with a heap of bull. And we got ours...
Thanks for the report but when such bull of ginormous proportions affects the race then there really should be a warning like this beforehand (to ready people for the bull/ soften the impact of said bull)...

I was a bit nervous about VDB's lack of acceleration going into this one, but with all of the mountains it clearly just turned into a grind where his stamina and good all-round stats were always going to help. 5th place is a great result.
