Got two options here in Kwiatkowski and Samwel. With 2 hilly stages and Kwiatek being the strongest puncheur in the field I'm hoping he is recognised as leader and can get a good GC. Who knows what PCM will do though, anything could happen on that Ardennes-type final stage. |

Joining Bonsucro in having this as our first race of the season! Lots if mountain goats who hope that the hills won't be too decisive. PCM AI will probably screw Bennett/Stetina combo and not have Stetina help Bennett - oh well!
Top 10 seems very doable, but maybe even a bit better if Georgie does alright on the hills. Very strong opposition for Hoffman, so don't have any real expectations. Top 10 and a stage win would be a perfect start!

Agree with the number of sentiments regarding the presence of 'big hitters' for the mountains - I toyed with the idea of sending Talansky assuming most if not all would avoid due to concerns over whether mtn or hill being predominant in this race being the normal response - glad I didn't out-think myself! Think riders like Kwiak and Valverde will be very dangerous here. If Chaves can do a decent job limiting losses on the mtn stage, hope he then takes initiative to attack in the hills that follow to fight for a top 10 GC. Alternatively if the mountain dominates, it is back on the shoulders of Ardila Cano and Agudelo - hopefully they put up a better showing than what we have seen from the 2 of them in Tachira!

Not sure when Alak is going to post the final stage of Tachira.
Would rather wait for it to be finished before starting Eritrea. Just as an info.
Guess no one would mind, if I don't care about Tachira, hm?

I wouldn't mind
And it's Alak we're talking about anyway, report might come tomorrow or somewhere next month, nobody knows except him

I would play it just so the game keeps moving along at a nice pace. |

Wait, what's Tachira?
Are we sure we want to risk waiting for Alak?

I think it's best to continue, even if Tachira isn't finished. There's been a fast start to this season and I think we'd all like to see it continue, even if that one stage has been delayed a little. With Alak, who knows when it could be posted |

Yeah, going to post it soon. Kicks off with sprint stages anyway, so probably not the same names involved as in Tachira final stage

Pretty anonymous there as expected, a break would be nice on the next flat stage but no trouble for our leaders so I'm not too worried. We're really just waiting for the tougher stages. |

Nice to see Turek being active in his first stage ever in Becherovka jersey. Too bad Vesely totally missed a wheel in a train.

1 stage - 1 win. Perfect start to the season, all the sweeter as it was a win with the favourites contesting it.
Over the moon. Anything else from the race is just icing on the sponge. Didn't think we were going to pull it off with Castaneda a bit far back and no Manarelli lead-out, but he came through like a flash.
- 6 screenshots - a great length for a flat stage race sprint day, take notes everyone! |

Hoffman disappointing in 8th. Was quite far back, but so was Castaneda. Bennett right up there on the front of the bunch, which is good to see. Must mean be is identified as a favourite and leader then.

I do not understand why vakoc followed the wheel of Kupfernagel and not the opposite...
Still not a bad stage for our team.

Nah, pretty sure that was already after Vakoc's early leadout - so he was on the way backwards instead of hanging on with Kupfernagel, I guess
Been a while since I wrote the reports for this, but must have been that way (or I did mix those two names).

Colbrelli so close to the win on the first stage! A little frustrating to lose it there, but 2nd is also very good from him. Haavardsholm with a surprising 7th on the second stage. Hope he can do something on the 4th and 6th stage as well.
