1. Vuelta a Espana
Often when GC riders don't meet their goals in the other two Grand Tours, especially the TdF, they go for one last dig in the Vuelta, and it often, especially last year, provides the most exciting racing in the Grand Tours as a result. 2. Giro d'Italia
Normally the action here is at least a bit better than the TdF, with that race often being won early on by a margin of many minutes. This year might have been a bit of an exception in the Giro's case, but the Aru-Landa power struggle, Hesjedal's combativity and the rise of Amador made this Giro one of the most interesting I've watched. 3. Paris-Roubaix
There's just an indescribable vibe that the cobbled classics give, mostly because of their unpredictable nature. This is the best of them in my opinion because of the various methods of victory, with almost every tactic under the sun used to win over the past 5 years. 4. Tour de France
To be honest, I don't really like the Tour, and I don't like how no attention is payed to the other GTs because the Tour is apparently the only one that matters. Nevertheless, it got me into cycling, and occasionally (as in 2011) it provides some close and interesting battles for the GC, so I can't not have it here. 5. Track World Championships Omnium
I'm not clear on the ruling for track events, but this is by far one of my favorite events to watch in the year. Though the recent changing of the scoring format has made it a bit worse, as just about anybody can take the win almost entirely based on the Points Race. 6. Road World Championships Road Race (in pretty much every category)
It's nice to just see a change with trade team members riding for their nations. I often gives more unpredictable racing than regular races. 7. Tour Down Under
I don't know why some people just ignore this race. It provides a different type of GC battle (kind of punchy rather than 'climb this for 25 km and whoever's still alive wins' ) . The racing itself might not be exceptionally exciting, but the types of stages create a consistently close GC battle. 8. Olympic Games Road Race
The Olympics gives the same kind of national team switch-up as Worlds, but the smaller teams makes the racing even more open, and predictions are almost always wrong. Vinokourov winning in 2012 spoiled the drama for me a bit (though he didn't test positive, I'm not 100% convinced he was clean), but it's still great from a racing perspective. 9. La Tropicale Amissa Bongo
This is one of my favorites almost solely because Africa is a talent jackpot waiting to be invested in, and this race shows the talent from every corner of the continent. Inexperience in a lot of the riders leads to some very different and aggressive tactics, which in turn provides good stages. 10. Road National Championships (various countries)
I'm able to watch quite a few different countries' nationals, and the drama which unfolds in the hunt for the national champion's jersey is hard to parallel. I've been provided entertainment with nationals for Australia, the United States, Great Britain, France, Luxembourg and Colombia. That I will soon have my own nationals experience in Jamaica has an influence as well.
