Indosat - ANZ announce leaders for inaugural CT season
We're overjoyed to announce that Darwin Atapuma will lead the team this season! He comes from the now defunct PT team Wikipedia, and while not initially part of our plans, the team had a bit of cap space to spare and ultimately decided to pursue him. Atapuma has been bought in to help keep the team competitive, support our team ore of Asian riders and to achieve our goals for the coming season. He is a terrific climber and hill rider who we know will be able to achieve great results at CT level. His wage is slightly higher than we would have hoped, but we are more than happy to accommodate his demands.
Darwin Atapuma OVL: 75 Age: 27 XP: Maxed Wage: 225,000

Our second leader for season 2015 is the Italian Signorini. He is an outstanding climber and won't find much opposition at this level (Anacona, we're looking at you!) He signed for less than his market value in order to lead the team after dropping from disbanded PCT team Kazzinc. He can be a liability on long, flat stages and as such careful planning of his schedule is needed to ensure he can perform at his best. We hope Gian Piero enjoys a great season with us.
Gian Piero Signorini OVL: 75 Age: 27 XP: Maxed Wage: 75,000

And now, our leader for the flat stages! Whilst Aidis has absolutely no influence to our region or sponsors, a deal like this was just too good to pass up. Especially in CT, if a deal like this comes up you have to take it. We signed him for a measly 90,000 (as opposed to the prices of other sprinters of a similar caliber available - Gavazzi, Pelucchi, Gatto etc.). Aidis is a fantastic sprinter who has the ability to survive over hilly terrain. He can also TT to a degree as well and rides well in prologue TT's, which makes him that much more useful as a rider. He has signalled interest in leading the team at the Tour de Langkawi and Herald Sun Tour, but at this stage with our roster still unconfirmed for the coming season, nothing is set in stone yet.

Wow, those are great leaders for CT. I think I only had riders of that quality in my 2nd year of PCT.

Thanks guys! Here's hoping a top 10-15 place will be achievable.
And Ian hopefully due to our geographical differences we won't meet too much this year, we may be just a little bit worried about Richeze

A quick recap of the team's performance so far this season
Aidis Kruopis wins the second stage of the Tour of Benelux
Our season kicked off with a bang at the Benelux tour with Aidis taking a stage win, points and 4th in GC as well as a nice prologue ITT. This set the foundation of expectations we would hold as a team throughout the rest of the season.
Gian Piero Signorini wins in ToME
We encountered a great first third of the season, with the team achieving some terrific results. Gian took a stage in ToME, and delivered an incredible performance to take second in GC to our friends Compal. It seemed success was following us in every race - regardess of our goals.
Mikel Nieve wins in Italy
Our first goal of the season - a top-5 in the Giro del Trentino. Atapuma and Anacona went in as favourites, but ultimately neither prevailed as victor. Mikel went into the race lead after a fantastic stage win, later losing his jersey and finishing 3rd, with Atapuma recovering for 6th.
Darwin Atapuma on his way to a stage win and overall GC victory in Malaysia
Atapuma took our biggest victory to date, taking home a stage and overall GC in Malaysia, a race we hold dear, whilst Aidis again performed well in San Luis. Atapuma also assisted in completing our second goal of the season in achieving a stage win after a nasty crash the day before.
Aidis wins in Argentina
Moving into the mid-season, we were ranked at #2 in the team standings and were looking like promotion was a sure thing. Nevertheless, with not many races between May - mid July suiting the team, we struggled to score points. This was always going to happen however as our leaders took an extended break and we sent our domestiques out to have a go for themselves. We achieved some respectable results, with Uchima, Rocchetti and Hossein doing well.
Federico Rocchetti wins the final stage of La Tropicale Amissa Bongo
We're moving into the final third of season, how quickly it's gone! We're happy as all but one or two races we have remaining on our calendar suit our team, and a good result will be achievable.
We've got our biggest race, and biggest gamble, in the Tour of Java starting today and we're thrilled to be riding at home. It is of utmost importance we ride well here to satisfy our sponsors and promote this sport in our nation.
We move on to Slovenia, USAPCC and the Herald Sun Tour were we have our final and possibly most ambitious goal of the season. We hope to achieve a top-5 and maybe a stage or two. It'll be a strong field however, making this incredibly difficult. We'll give it our best shot and see how it turns out!

The team haven't moved much lately in the rankings and luckily the mountains season was a great success for the team Even if you don't manage to get many points in the last part, I will still predict you to fight for promotion
Good luck and I hope you will do well, as long as it's behind me

Yeah, it's hard to see you not making a (deserved) promotion. only problem is, you're one of the teams we have the best chances to beat to get automatic promotion ourselves. (probably alongside Generali and maybe Fablok)
Good luck, just not too much good luck for the rest of the season.

@sgdanny: I thought we'd slip out of the top 5 for sure, but our quiet part of the season is over thankfully. We can definitely score well in seven of our last nine races if our riders turn up. I think we'll hang around the 4th-5th mark.
Thanks! I'm sure you'll give the current top 5 a run for their money
@trekbmc: Thanks! It'll be an interesting end to the season for sure with so many teams in the fight for a promotion placing.

Tour of East Java - Goal 3/5: WIN (3rd)
Our third and most important goal of the season - and also our home race! We sent a decent lineup of climbers header by Signorini and Mikel Nieve, along with Nateghi for the first flat stage. The race started well for us with Wenlong Zhang finishing 8th on the first stage in a messy sprint. Signorini finished comfortably in 11th, continuing his trend of high placed finishes on flat stages.
Parno leads the BOTD through a KOM point
Stage 2 started well for us with Parno slipping into the early break. It was quite an uneventful stage before the finale, most notably the break was caught.
DeLaval lead the peloton as we're nowhere to be seen
A small group of seemingly non-threatening riders jumped clear near the bottom of the final categorised climb and were soon joined by the eventual race winner, Julian Berard (Fablok). DeLaval were the only team willing to take up chase and soon the peloton was down to a small group of ten riders. We were badly positioned leading into this climb, eventually leading to our team tiring.
Signorini, together with Anacona & Sorenson (DeLaval) and Rosa (Lierse)
Going into the small ramp to the finish, Berard's lead was too great and there was no hope of reaching him. Anacona and Signorini both looked beat, as Sorenson still looked somewhat fresh. Peerapol can be seen in the second group on the road.
Signorini crosses the line
Signorini finished 3rd behind Berard and a strong Sorenson, just ahead of Anacona and securing 3rd in GC. Peerapol finished 8th on the stage, and took 13th in GC.
Overall a successful race for the team! Although we didn't achieve our goal, it was always going to be a difficult and unpredictable race. We're thrilled to have ridden such a race in our home country and put on a show for our supporters. We can't wait to be back racing in Java again next year.

We're thrilled to announce that we've achieved promotion to the PCT division for the next season. We never expected to have achieved this in our inaugural season so we're understandably very excited! It's been a long and very rewarding season for the team, and we look forward to what lies ahead in our future.
Season review to come.
