Thanks for the feedback on both the HQ and rumors, guys. It's just a rumor, you know. I expect Phinney's wage to end up sky-high, but I know he wants to join Oz

RUMORS2015 - UPGRADING THE CLIMBING CORE
Mountains and Oz Cycling - this has ever been a less working relationship. George Bennett showed some signs of his talents in two or three races last year, but it's pretty obvious that our team has to upgrade on this terrain. There are a few names out there, that have already been linked to Oz (Morton, in particular), but you should expect the management to keep researching many options.
Of course some free agents will be of interested for the team, too: Pierre Paolo Penasa (24 years old Italian, picture below) may be one of those. Not exactly special ProTour-material yet, the talented mountain goat looks interesting for less ambitious goals like stage-hunting.
Aussies like our former rider Shaun Lewis or Trent Lowe are expected to be on the team's list of targets, too. And so may international names like Martin Hacecký or Andrew Talansky. With Kiwi George Bennett as the only useful climber on our current squad, there's a lot of work to do for manager TS Moha: "It's a challenge. It's no secret, that we more or less ignored climbing in the past three years. But to survive this PT-debut, we definitely need a few scorers when the road goes up!"

Nooooo, not Penasa please!
May be one of my objectives for the upcoming transfer season, hmm definitely one I'd say, and wouldn't be too unrealistic either...

I know. I always used to throw just those rumors, that are obvious targets anyway At least for other teams.
We had some good talks with his family though. So expect Oz to be in the mix

|CALENDAR|
With the HC Band choices for us ProTour teams revealed, it's time for Oz to show the team's schedule for the 2015 campaign. We're happy to announce that we got the chance to take part at this year's Down Under Classic! It will be a tough challenge to achieve something special there, but we're already excited to kick off the season in our beloved home country.
Opposing to the DUC, we may be more competitive in other races of this HC Band we get to ride this year: Giovanni Visconti (picture below) may get the chance to repeat his great 3rd place at the 5 Jours de Dunkerque last year. The veteran's future on the team is as uncertain as it was last year, but this race will rise his value for sure. Same goes for Rheden GP, which may suit him as well as Jesus Del Nero.
We're also happy to come back to some races, where we had pretty good results last year: Bayern Rundfahrt (Koren, 5th), Eneco Tour (Goss, 3rd) and Giro dell'Emilia (Bobridge, 5th). It won't come down to such results this year, probably. But it's a nice bonus to get to ride a few of our favorite events from our time as a Conti-team!

Nice to see you getting another Australian race. Surely not ideal for PCT teams that you have two decent looking riders for those.
For you though it might become important small pointers in the relegation fight...well, or you just sign Phinney this is. |

Amazing deal on Bobridge mate. Just like last season George Bennett could be very interesting to us as we need a liutenaint for the GC races. Also Kristjan Koren is a rider we are very keen on talking about once the transferperiod opens.

TRANSFERS15 - SIX LEAVING, MORTON JOINING
The transfer season 2015 is well underway and the Oz Cycling Project is happy to announce it's biggest deal yet: Lachlan Morton will become a member of Australia's premium cycling team, joining our project in a blockbuster deal worth 2,200,000€! We will also take three loanies from Eritel - Sonatrach on board: Elias Afewerki (75 SPR), Charles Anguilet (74 MO) and Souheil Khederi (74 HI).
Morton has been heavily linked to Oz prior to the off-season: "It's great to bring Morton back home. He will become a valuable team leader in the future and it's nice to help him making his final steps of progress in the ProTour this year", said manager TS Moha, who's still busy with building a squad, that can fight for avoiding the relegation.
No free agents landed yet, but we can announce six riders leaving The Oz for good: Jesus Del Nero, Kristjan Koren, Anthony Giacoppo, Pengda Jiao, Wes Sulzberger and Sonomtseren Delgerbayar all have found new homes and we wish them all the best for the 2015 season. A special thanks to Del Nero and Koren for being key members in our promotion campaign last year!

Enormous price, but he should be the future of the team, together with Bobridge, so i think it will be worth it in the end. Congrats mate!

Absolutely amazing deal... Well the price was fair and all, but it's a great scoop nontheless... Also it is a perfect fit. I am looking forward to see what he can do this season already. Next season he will be bad ass

Thanks, guys. It's a tricky move, that won't help us much this year, but in future seasons. It just had to happen and I'm happy with his wage in particular.
Huge fee though. Can't say too much about negotiations, but I'm not the one to blame on first hand

And neither am I
Will be fun to see Morton in PT next year, hopefully he does well for you. Definitely worth the investment now so that you have him in 2016. Will of course be keeping an eye out for the Africans too!
